Information about who does drugs and who has prostituted themselves and who has slept with whom in a cartoon is not appropriate for this encyclopedia. In addition, I you reverted to a version which is full of redundancies and run-on sentences. HelpJazz 23:24, 8 April 2008 (EDT)
- Do we even need a list of all the characters? HenryS 23:27, 8 April 2008 (EDT)
- I would argue that it doesn't contribute a whole lot. HelpJazz 23:30, 8 April 2008 (EDT)
Here is a list of characters you need to add:
Joe Swanson - Joe is Peter's paraplegic friend, and is often made fun of for being so.
Cleveland Brown - Cleveland is Peter's neighbor, and portrays a typical African American male.
Herbert - Herbert is Peter's neighbor, and is known for being a pedophile. For some reason, he has not yet been taken to jail.
Mort Goldman - Mort is Peter's pharmacist, and is frequently portrayed as a typical member of the Jewish community, most notably his tendency to whine and complain.
Is it really necessary to have the criticisms first????
So that I don't seem antagonizing, I will bring this up on the talk page first: this show comes on during prime time on network TV, so there's not any profanity, unless you consider certain "mild" profanities which appear in such places as the Bible. FWIW, I agree with all the other edits. HelpJazz
Official sysop request
Any sysop, could someone redo this? This is a Conservative encyclopedia, and the text seems too liberal for my taste. I'd do it myself, but I'm not a sysop JY23 20:56, 7 November 2008 (EST)
- I presume you are talking about the edits which have already been reverted, or do you think the current text is too "liberal"? HelpJazz 00:56, 9 November 2008 (EST) Note: I'm not a sysop, but I don't see why only a sysop can deal with this issue.
- It requires a sysop because the page is locked. Bugler 08:36, 25 November 2008 (EST)
- Maybe i should have rephrased that. How does one revert referenced text that, albeit liberal and anti-christian, is still referenced? JY23 08:20, 25 November 2008 (EST)
You are both right, so work together here. The show does "[explore] cultural and political themes that are important in the world today, as well as taking humorous approaches to past & present television shows", but don't replace the factual text which is already there. Season 8 Episode 7 Family Guy admits to its liberal agenda
I found this part of season 8 episode 7 when Quagmire yells at Brian when Brian is trying to impress him, and Quagmire says, and I quote, "what I really hate most, is your text book liberal agenda. About how we should 'legalize pot man' and how 'big business is crushing the underbelly of America' and 'homelessness is the worst tragedy in the history of America.' I work in a soup kitchen, never seen you down there. Wanna help, grab a ladle. And driving a Prius doesn't make you Jesus Christ. Oh wait! You don't believe in Jesus Christ, or any religion for that matter 'because religion is for idiots!' Well who are you to talk? You failed college twice, which isn't nearly as bad as your failure as a father..." I don't know if it is relevant, and if it is I don't know how to include it. And if the quote violates copyright laws, I did not intend for it to, which is why I posted it here in the talk. If I unknowingly posted copyright infringing material, you have my full permission to remove this ASAP. --Pokematic 22:10, 27 February 2012 (EST)
