The San Francisco Chronicle states the following in their November 9, 1993 edition: "Jonathan Katz, 35, of San Francisco, was cited for inciting a riot, disturbing the peace, trespassing, battery and resisting arrest -- all misdemeanor offenses." Wikipedia has an article on a Jonathan David Katz and I don't know if the two Katz's are the same individual: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathan_David_Katz  The article said he was a co-founder of Queer Nation San Francisco.  According to Wikipedia Queer Nation was founded in NYC because of anti-homosexual violence and because they believed there was prejedice in the media and arts (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queer_Nation ).

Latest revision as of 06:35, January 19, 2009

This article would look a lot nicer with more than the one source for 95% of the article.

Untrue, I cited a church member as well. In addition, I cited the film documentary A Nation Adrift which anyone is free to purchase. I also alluded to what the San Franciso Chronicle stated. Conservative 20:20, 8 July 2007 (EDT)
I elaborated on the San Francisco Chronicle article which condemned the attack on the church(the liberal newspaper which previously was part of the local news blackout). I added/edited the article so it says the following: Even the San Francisco Chronicle which had refused to cover the story earlier condemned the attack on the church and wrote in a editorial: "The demonstrators at Hamilton Square Baptist Church endangered not only their own cause but the cause of freedom itself."[1] Conservative 20:28, 8 July 2007 (EDT)
I found a Christianity Today article today. Conservative 20:41, 9 July 2007 (EDT)

A Nation Adrift

Does anyone have the video A Nation Adrift? Conservative 20:27, 9 July 2007 (EDT)

Can anyone could get online access to this full text article?

Here is something a librarian gave me and I was wondering if anyone could get online access to the full text article?

Jonathon Katz

The San Francisco Chronicle states the following in their November 9, 1993 edition: "Jonathan Katz, 35, of San Francisco, was cited for inciting a riot, disturbing the peace, trespassing, battery and resisting arrest -- all misdemeanor offenses." Wikipedia has an article on a Jonathan David Katz and I don't know if the two Katz's are the same individual: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathan_David_Katz The article said he was a co-founder of Queer Nation San Francisco. According to Wikipedia Queer Nation was founded in NYC because of outrage regarding anti-homosexual violence and because they believed there was prejudice in the media and arts (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queer_Nation ).

Does anyone have any interest in finding out about the Jonathon Katz who was cited in regards to whether or not he went to trial and if he did go to trial was he found guilty by a jury? Also, I would be interested in knowing if that Katz is the same as the Wikipedia Jonathon David Katz. Conservative 15:53, 10 July 2007 (EDT)

I just found the following: "You can't look for explicit reference or the terms gay or lesbian," says Jonathan D. Katz, a Yale professor who heads the Larry Kramer Initiative. "You have to be alive to all sorts of possible ways of expressing things." Jonathan Ned Katz, an authority on gay history, curated the show."[2] It will be interesting to see if we can find out who is the Jonathon Katz who was cited. Conservative 18:05, 10 July 2007 (EDT)
According to Wikipedia Jonathon Ned Katz was born 1938 so if Wikipedia is right about his age and the San Francisco Chronicle is right about the age of the Jonathon Katz cited then Jonathon Ned Katz cannot be the same Jonathon Katz. Wikipedia does not give the age of Jonathon David Katz but says he got his PHD in 1996. Conservative 18:29, 10 July 2007 (EDT)

Wikipedia difference #6 - jourlaism and experts

In Conservapedia talk:How Conservapedia Differs from Wikipedia I asked about how that point meshes with articles such as these. Is there any chance of getting a response there? --Mtur 19:27, 11 July 2007 (EDT)

Mtur, I quoted the liberal San Francisco Chronicle. I also cited eyewitnesses. What more do you want? Conservative 18:53, 17 October 2007 (EDT)

I cited two newspapers and one of them was a liberal newspaper (San Francisco Chronicle). I also cited Christianity Today.
