I'll leave them for now, but I don't think Jaws and Sixth Sense are really considered "horror movies" in the classic sense of the term.--Petechipperson 14:23, 16 September 2008 (EDT)

Jaws is definitely not horror, and the Sixth Sense was more thriller than horror. I'd say go ahead and remove them. HelpJazz 14:25, 16 September 2008 (EDT)

"Pete Chipperson" oh, that's real funny. If a horror movie is meant to cause fear, horror and terror to viewers, I'd say Jaws definitely tries to do that. But some might consider it more of an action movie, go ahead and take it down. Chippeterson September 16 2008

Names of obscure and extreme movies should not be mentioned here, lest some intrepid student try to seek them out. -Foxtrot 17:13, 15 November 2008 (EST)

Which movies are you talking about? None of the names themselves are harmful that I can see, and it's ultimately a parent's responsibility to oversee what their kids watch. We can't simply censor the name of every movie with a rating higher than PG, can we? HelpJazz 18:04, 15 November 2008 (EST)
Nevermind, I see now what you are talking about. I still stick by my statement though. HelpJazz 18:05, 15 November 2008 (EST)
Note that I didn't remove Friday the 13th, which is gory, but very well-known. At some point a kid is going to here of Freddie Krooger. I'm not censoring willy-nilly. However, the two movies whose names I did remove were very obscure (I had never heard of them) and they also were very extreme in their content. At least, I'm basing this on the cannibal one, which sounded awful. The title of the other one didn't suggest it was much better. No need to point impressionable ones to things they wouldn't find easily on their own. You wouldn't be teaching kids about abstinence and then casually point out where the town bordello is, would you? I think this is a pretty simple idea to understand. -Foxtrot 06:15, 16 November 2008 (EST)
I made my comment before I saw what you removed -- I didn't see your other edit on my watchlist. I thought you wanted to remove the films which were left. HelpJazz 13:02, 16 November 2008 (EST)
Okay, I thought your point "I still stick by my statement though" was referring to the (incorrect) assumption that I wanted to censor the names of the other movies. As long as we're clear that I only wanted to censor the very harmful ones they wouldn't already know about, then we're good :-) -Foxtrot 15:20, 16 November 2008 (EST)
No prob bob ;) HelpJazz 15:24, 16 November 2008 (EST)
