Was this guy featured in any media? Even the article you reference says that he was only in the SF Chronical article, and I read that article; he has a two-line mention. Has any other media "noted" him? HelpJazz 15:18, 2 January 2008 (EST)

Google News shows only a few minor print media stories. The SF Chronicle is the most recognizable. Jinxmchue 15:50, 2 January 2008 (EST)
So it would be fair to say that this is only a blog issue and not a media issue? It doesn't seem like this guy is really notable, other than that he caused a fuss in a bunch of liberal blogs. HelpJazz 16:32, 2 January 2008 (EST)
>shrug< Minor print media is still media. He got quite a bit of mention on a lot of the top blogs both left and right. If notability is judged only by what the MSM chooses to report, then no, he's not that notable. In this day and age, however, there's a lot more to notability than what a bunch of left-leaning news outlets choose to report or not. Jinxmchue 19:10, 2 January 2008 (EST)
In this case he's only notable if we can establish that he was falsely used by an entity with swing (such as the MSM or a very poplular centrist blog). One (very minor) mention in the SFC isn't enough mention, and even extensive mention on the Daily Kos doesn't seem relevant, because they aren't influential enough. Maybe Jeb Eddy and Jim Ronca (and that third unwritten article?) could be joined into one article (or essay) called "Anti-Bush conservative hoaxes" or something like that.
I had considered the latter. Jinxmchue 22:16, 2 January 2008 (EST)
Until a sysop weighs in one way or the other I guess it doesn't really matter; neither of us can move or delete the page! HelpJazz 21:11, 2 January 2008 (EST)
