Democrats turning against Israel because they associate it with Trump

Since Trump's election, the percentage of Democrats viewing Israel favorably has dropped drastically, from 43% to 27%. Considering that Israel hasn't launch any major operations against Hamas since before President Trump even announced his candidacy, it appears that the reason Democrats are turning against Israel is because they associate Israel with Trump's platform. While criticizing Israel is not anti-Semitic by default, having a negative opinion of Israel because you believe in the premise that Israel deserves blame for another country's domestic woes, IS anti-Semitic by default. If that's not proof that it's the DNC, not the GOP, that has a serious problem with anti-Semitism, what is? http://assets.pewresearch.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2018/01/23085852/1-23-18-Middle-East-release.pdf -- --Geopolitician (talk) 16:39, 5 May 2018 (EDT)

ahhh leftwing anti-Semitic racists - especially among progressive Millenials who elected Obama - predates Trump. Trump jumped on a horse that was already saddled. RobSDeep Six the Deep State! 21:30, 5 May 2018 (EDT)

The problem with the first quote

In the header, the quote citing Professor Fine is not the best to use. It's easy nowadays to associate religiously motivated neo-Marxist antisemitism (manifested in more mainstream forms of anti-Zionism and support for Palestinian terrorists) as left-wing and racially motivated antisemitism, typically from neo-Nazis, as "right-wing." When much of the mainstream academia refers to "right-wing antisemitism," they frequently argue that the virulent antisemitic demagoguery of Nazis/"alt-right" are "right-wing" even though all socialist antisemitism (National Socialism is a form of socialism) is technically left-wing. In traditional understandings of left-right politics, "right-wing" is associated with conservative social order and often monarchy. Thus, actual examples of right-wing antisemitism would be the monarchist element of the White movement during the Russian Civil War, and also the DNVP during the Weimar Republic. —LT (The Old Right was right!) Title

First of all, "anti" does not need to be capitalized since it's neither a proper noun nor the first word in the title. Secondly, it's spelled "antisemitism," not "anti-Semitism." Under the usage of "anti-Semitism" as a synonym for "Jew-hatred," it implies that Jews are "Semites," which is nothing short of racialist propaganda. The term "Semite" traditionally referred to several different ethnic groups, and was used by "scientists" around the late 19th century to promote heinous racial theories. Thus, the term "anti-Semitism" blurs the intended meaning due to its technical definition not solely describing Jew-hatred. By removing the dash and forcing the 's' to be lowercased, it can no longer be a proper noun in reference to the term "Semite" and thus the word makes more sense.
