Recreate or salt?

This page has been deleted twice already, yet there are seven incoming links. Should this entry be recreated, or should we work on removing the links that point here? If the former, what would the suggested form be? I don't know what the old versions looked like, so I'm unsure how to avoid a third deletion. --JBrown 18:57, 10 May 2008 (EDT)

Vet?

Can I get some feedback on this article please? It seems like it could be added to Template:Liberalism if "good" Lyra Belaqua talk 13:25, 17 May 2008 (EDT)

Liberal Students

Is this one really fair to attribute only to liberals? At my college, which is predominantly conservative, the College Republicans were extremely rude to Cindy Sheehan when she came to speak, and in a way that was grossly underhanded and spiteful.Decemberist 18:31, 16 December 2008 (EST)

How can you be so sure these were Republicans, and not Liberals out to make Conservatives look bad by underhand means? Bugler 18:40, 16 December 2008 (EST)

How can you be so sure that the "liberals" criticizing conservative speakers were liberals, and not conservatives out to make liberals look bad by underhanded means?

Behaviour more than Values

We really should be honest here and recognize that the list as it stands is more decriptive of the liberal behavior more than their values. Don't you think? Liberals value many of the things we value but there are other values that they give importance to that we do not. The sanctity of the individual vs. community for example. The importance of change. Escaping the shackles of tradition. Those are some values that progressives have that we do not.

I think this article would be better if it was more objective and unbiased. I like the list. I think all of these things are true. But I seriously doubt that progressive liberals proudly proclaim these things as values.

Term "value"

What liberals value are no true values. Liberals have no values. You cannot consider drug consumption a value. You cannot consider homophilia a value. You cannot consider the "right" to kill unborn children a value. In my opinion, Liberal "values" needs to be written in quotes. --Elessar (talk) 02:45, 9 August 2017 (EDT)

You can view them as not being real values, or, as I personally do, you can view them as being bad and destructive values. Liberals do value these things. The content of the article makes clear that these things are not to be emulated. --1990'sguy (talk) 09:38, 9 August 2017 (EDT)
But why would it be wrong to put them under quotes? It are "values" only for liberals. Conservatives don't put any value on these positions, so I think CP should put them under quotes. --Elessar (talk) 09:59, 9 August 2017 (EDT)
Conservatives and liberals value different things, as our two articles show. We don't need to put quotes around the term "values" when referring to those destructive values. --1990'sguy (talk) 10:13, 9 August 2017 (EDT)
