I'm not sourcing the quote I added because I don't want anyone stumbling upon this page actually reading the book. I've read part of it with a pure, unwavering Christian heart to understand the depths of human evil, but I don't want anyone who doesn't have these qualities exposed to such a potentially corrupting novel. --Pious 02:25, 27 July 2016 (CDT)

This Sentence Appears to be obviously false
Article says:
- "The 120 Days of Sodom, perhaps his most notorious book, was written by the Marquis whilst imprisoned in the Bastille, where he witnessed daily executions from his window during the Reign of Terror.
Was not the Bastille was destroyed (1789) before the Reign of Terror (1793-94)? If so, how could de Sade have watched the Reign of Terror from the Bastille??? I hope the the author or someone who knows this field can correct this. Otherwise, after a couple of weeks, I think I will delete what is obviously false.
