:I removed the comparison to [[Chess]] and [[Checkers]].  It seemed an odd digression... their derivation and type are completely different from Monopoly and information about them belongs on their own pages.  Monopoly is also not as popular as Backgammon or Go or Pachisi, but this article is not intended to mention all of the games that Monopoly is less popular than. I removed the comparison to Chess and Checkers. It seemed an odd digression... their derivation and type are completely different from Monopoly and information about them belongs on their own pages.
