From the Israel point of view the 1967 Israel borders are only "so-called" as they consider there is no basis in fact, history, or even popular support among ordinary “Palestinian” residents. See: [http://www.conservativenewsandviews.com/2011/05/21/talk/1967-israel-borders-have-no-basis/ 1967 Israel borders have no basis]. this article is a joke, am serisouly considering deleting and starting again. thoughts?--AustinM 18:11, 16 March 2007 (EDT)

excuse me, I actually managed to turn this article into an unbiased one that reflected all possible opinions, and you have turned it into exactly what it was!!! this is getting ridiculous --Daerean 15:28, 19 March 2007 (EDT)

Much of this article seems to have been copied from Wikipedia.[1]--Jalapeno 15:54, 22 April 2007 (EDT)

Let's start with the first line. Apart from the attempt to have Rome naming the area with some sort of malice aforethought ("Let's call it Palestine so we can upset the Jews...") it's just plain wrong. It was the Roman Province of Judaea! And let's remember who ran the place: a Jew called Herod. The area of the land covered by the term "Palestine" has varied over the centuries but has usually included an area greater than that....e.g. western Jordan, southern Lebanon. AlanE 16:10, 16 May 2007 (EDT

Why the insistence in on perpetrating the error the first line? If it is to stay can I have a citation please? AlanE 14:45, 17 May 2007 (EDT)

Well it is referenced, although the source could hardly be described as unbiased. The main problem is that the first sentence is deliberately misleading; It implies that all those who have ever used the term 'Palestine' to refer to a region of the Eastern Mediterranean do so 'in order to deny that the land belongs to the Jews', which is clearly not the case. --Jalapeno 04:29, 19 May 2007 (EDT)

The Balfour Declaration itself that called for the creation of the State of Israel argued for the creation of a Jewish State in Palestine. How could the use of Palestine in this historical context be construed as denying the land belongs to Jews? The British Mandate itself was named the British Mandate of Palestine. Here are two self-described Zionist sources that use Palestine to describe the British Mandate and in citing the Balfour Declaration: [2][3]

There was never a country in history called "Palestine" there was not a large non-Jewish population in Israel till after the success of many businesses were set up by Jewish immigrants which required many workers. Aside from fixing the spelling/grammar issues, such a statement should be accompanied by a citation. Murray 17:09, 16 March 2008 (EDT) --Oracle 15:51, 21 June 2007 (EDT)
