this article is a joke, am serisouly considering deleting and starting again. thoughts?--AustinM 18:11, 16 March 2007 (EDT)

excuse me, I actually managed to turn this article into an unbiased one that reflected all possible opinions, and you have turned it into exactly what it was!!! this is getting ridiculous --Daerean 15:28, 19 March 2007 (EDT)

Much of this article seems to have been copied from Wikipedia.[1]--Jalapeno 15:54, 22 April 2007 (EDT)

Let's start with the first line. Apart from the attempt to have Rome naming the area with some sort of malice aforethought ("Let's call it Palestine so we can upset the Jews...") it's just plain wrong. It was the Roman Province of Judaea! And let's remember who ran the place: a Jew called Herod. The area of the land covered by the term "Palestine" has varied over the centuries but has usually included an area greater than that....e.g. western Jordan, southern Lebanon. Why the insistence in on perpetrating the error the first line? If it is to stay can I have a citation please? AlanE 14:45, 17 May 2007 (EDT)

Well it is referenced, although the source could hardly be described as unbiased. The main problem is that the first sentence is deliberately misleading; It implies that all those who have ever used the term 'Palestine' to refer to a region of the Eastern Mediterranean do so 'in order to deny that the land belongs to the Jews', which is clearly not the case. --Jalapeno 04:29, 19 May 2007 (EDT)
