A Choice, Not An Echo

A Choice, Not An Echo has an article, which can be linked from this one. Parrothead 19:41, 22 September 2007 (EDT)

Please unlock this for editing

It would be nice if this page was unlocked for editing, as to say the least, it is rather short.--ElliottRosewater 12:34, 17 February 2008 (EST)

OK, but our rules will be enforced.--Aschlafly 12:49, 17 February 2008 (EST)

"Bunch of losers"

It'd be nice if we could also add Mrs. Schlafly's description of the protesters as "a bunch of losers" [1] Wandering 22:54, 17 May 2008 (EDT)

I'm not sure that quote captures the insight and style as well.--Aschlafly 22:57, 17 May 2008 (EDT)
I believe it captures a certain amount of insight into the style of Mrs. Schlafly, so to speak. Wandering 23:02, 17 May 2008 (EDT)

I found a reference for the first lady designation located here and would like to add it. Thank you.--JasonM 21:53, 5 October 2008 (EDT)

The references is done. Thank you so much. --User:Joaquín Martínez, talk 07:03, 6 October 2008 (EDT)

Category Change

As per the [[Category:Writers]] page, I moved all of the contents to [[Category:Authors]] except for this page. Anyone with unlocking ability wish to take this on? Thanks! WesleySHello! 20:35, 30 November 2008 (EST)

Good suggestion. Thanks much and Godspeed.--Aschlafly 20:38, 30 November 2008 (EST)
Thanks, Mr. Schlafly. WesleySHello! 21:00, 30 November 2008 (EST)

Her views vs. the American Left

If anyone would like to help me contrast the views of Phyllis Schlafly with the views of the American Left, we can unprotect the article.

People typically just say 'I disagree' or 'Her views are outrageous', but they don't say what they disagree with or why. Maybe they don't even know. --Ed Poor Talk 12:50, 10 December 2008 (EST)

Sure. I know a bit about her views from studying the Goldwater campaign, so perhaps I can be of some use. - Rod Weathers 12:57, 10 December 2008 (EST)
I respect her a great deal, but disagree with several of her views and would be willing to contribute to an analysis of them (not as a "representative liberal", but as someone who disagrees on specific issues themselves). The first example that comes to mind is Mrs. Schlafly's view that restraining orders are, in general, unfair to men and a tool of the feminist agenda [1]. Another is her contention that spousal rape is not comparable to rape by a stranger, because when a woman marries she's consented to sex, and as long as no other beatings or violence take place a husband has the right to force a sex act on his wife even when she's unwilling. [2] --DinsdaleP 13:17, 10 December 2008 (EST)
Dinsdale, we're not here to discuss your views or disagreements on the matter, but rather her relation to a broad political movement. - Rod Weathers 13:29, 10 December 2008 (EST)
Then I'm happy to stay out of it. The reason I posted here was in response to Ed Poor's statement above that "People typically just say 'I disagree' or 'Her views are outrageous', but they don't say what they disagree with or why. Maybe they don't even know.". I'm willing to provide some specific examples that are supposedly never provided, but if this is unwelcome then I'll stay out of this. --DinsdaleP 13:35, 10 December 2008 (EST)
