The article originally said that it was invented to be between brass and woodwind, but I'm pretty sure it's classified as a woodwind instrument... DanH 14:13, 18 July 2007 (EDT)

Perhaps mention its a reed instrument, therefore woodwind, in spite that its mostly brass construction. Fingering I believe is same as clarinet and recorder. Making distinct notes is done by tongueing the reed , stopping its vibration. It has a very complex sound waveform, lots of harmonics which change over time so its difficult to simulate electronically. Markr 13:31, 18 October 2008 (EDT)
