This entry appears to be advertising a novel. Is that appropriate on a reference site? GraceDalrymple (talk)

Unlike Wikipedia, we do not specifically have a policy on "notability" of an entry. However, we generally avoid advertisements and promotional entries. This book does not seem to be especially popular or remarkable, so I'm inclined to think that it probably is not beneficial for us to have. Additionally, it seems to have been created by a single-purpose user account. Does anyone else have thoughts? If not, I think I'll delete it in a little while. --David B (TALK) 14:59, 8 January 2018 (EST)
It might be worth keeping. I don't see anything in it overtly advertising. It appears to be a run-of-the-mill book review. There's no link to a sales page either. Progressingamerica (talk) 21:34, 8 January 2018 (EST)

It seems that I have made two mistakes.
  1. Confusing you with another new user
  2. Jumping to conclusions
This would not at all be the first time for someone to come in and create an extensive article attempting to promote something underhandedly. However, I was in a hurry and made a snap decision, which I should not have, based in part on my confusion of you with another user.
My apologies for this mix-up. You are welcome to post this material, and to contribute as you wish. You already know our rules, so as long as you keep to them, you are more than welcome! If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know! I have removed the delete proposal. --David B (TALK) 22:15, 8 January 2018 (EST)
