Whoever wrote the above was right - the statement that these three aspects of legal process are "unique to American democracy" is simply false. I haven't changed anything, and I don't suppose anyone will respond given how old this article and its talk page are, but it really is quite a bizarre thing to say, considering that... it's completely untrue.
