It's kind of funny but an atheist like Sam Harris would probably consider the example of the churchians to be sort of "Useless Idiots" in that he thinks their liberal attitudes towards religious tolerance gives cover to the ultra-conservative religous. MickA 12:32, 24 September 2008 (EDT)

"Churchian" refers to someone who goes to church but it's questionable whether they are actually a Christian, or perhaps it's someone for whom going to church and appearing to be part of the church is more of a motivator for them than is the Bible. Philip J. Rayment 02:37, 25 September 2008 (EDT)
