I read yesterday that the term "war on science" was mainly coined by the American left in response "global warming" and fossil fuels (see: [https://newrepublic.com/article/147729/war-science-over-republicans-won The War on Science Is Over. - Pelosi's House Committee on Climate Change and Ocasio-Cortez's Green New Deal brings elimination of fossil fuels front and center in American politics again. It's a possible wedge issue among Democrats. It shows how out of touch Pelosi, Progressives, and American media are when the Yellow vest movement was spawned by exactly the reason the new House Committee was created (it shows Democrats, media, and the American public are years behind the current status of the debate).
