Maybe a foolish question but how is it specific to Korea ?--PhilipN 23:43, 2 February 2012 (EST)

In Korea, people calculate their age by subtracting their birth year (Lunar) from the current year (also Lunar) and adding one. When a Korean is born, he is in his first year. I don't know of any other country that does this (see Wikipedia for more info). --Ed Poor Talk 00:01, 3 February 2012 (EST)
