"unauthorized? What does this mean?"

It means that TK didn't authorize you. Careful, he's serious (and somewhat confused). This template got me a ban warning with a side dish of harassment. --Sid 3050 21:59, 30 March 2007 (EDT)

Hmm, I don't think I want to get involved. --Hojimachongtalk 22:00, 30 March 2007 (EDT)
Agreed. The template was used and created and used by two sysops (from what I can see), but apparently, that's not good enough. The sideline is the place to be right now. --Sid 3050 22:05, 30 March 2007 (EDT)

I spoke to TK about it, and here's how we left it. He has no objection to the idea of the template. It's just its sudden appearance, coupled with the marking of his archived talk page.

If anybody other than me thinks it is a good idea to use these templates, please suggest it at user talk:Aschlafly. --Ed Poor 12:44, 31 March 2007 (EDT)

I believe the template is a very good idea, it gives people a clue who to ask for the locking reason or for unlocking/editing it (if asking on the Talk page does not give any results). Maybe locked archives should have their own template (no box, just something like "This page is an archive. It has been locked to prevent further editing.") since there's no reason to unlock them.
However, I have used up my "Annoy Andy" ratio for March, so I'll leave it to others to kick off a discussion on his talk page. ;) --Sid 3050 12:51, 31 March 2007 (EDT)
