The Tennessee Titans are a National Football League (NFL) team based in Nashville, Tennessee. They are members of the American Football Conference (AFC) South Division.
History and League Success
The team was orignally known as the Houston Oilers, a charter AFL franchise formed in 1960. They remained in Houston until a controversial relocation to Tennessee in 1997, playing under the name "Tennessee Oilers" for the following two years (the first year in Memphis before finally moving to Nashville the following year).
