Tenth Circuit

The Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit is a federal appellate court that covers these jurisdictions:

  • Colorado
  • Kansas
  • New Mexico
  • Oklahoma
  • Utah
  • Wyoming

Until 1929, these areas were part of the Eighth Circuit.

The composition of the Tenth Circuit usually has a slight majority of liberal judges compared with conservative judges. As of September 2024, there is a 7-5 Dem-appointed majority among active judges.
