Texas Christian University is a private university located in Fort Worth, Texas. The university has a historic, though now nominal, affiliation with the Disciples of Christ, a liberal denomination.

Sports teams participate in the Big 12 Conference and the school mascot is the horned frog (or horned toad, the Texas state reptile which is an endangered species). The Davey O'Brien award, given to the top college quarterback, is named for a former star player.
