The Da Vinci Code is a 2006 film directed by Ron Howard adapted from the popular book, The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. The film was highly controversial for claiming that Jesus Christ was only a man and was married to Mary Magdalene. The film was a financial success. It was rated PG-13 by the MPAA for disturbing images, violence, some nudity, thematic material, brief drug references and sexual content.
