The Legend of Zelda (The Hyrule Fantasy: Zeruda no densetsu in Japan) is the first game in the Legend of Zelda series, first released in 1986 for the Nintendo Entertainment System. It follows Link, who must retrieve the Triforce of Wisdom and rescue Princess Zelda before defeating th evil wizard Ganon.
