The Searchers (1956) is ranked as the finest Western ever and the 12th greatest movie of all time, starring John Wayne and Natalie Wood.[1]
Today the character played by John Wayne is considered to be racist, and like the movie Stagecoach this movie is sharply criticized by some Leftists. It is also considered by some liberals to be misogynistic.
