The Squad are a group of four communist members who entered the U.S. House of Representatives in the 116th Congress (2019–2021). They are Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY), Rashida Tlaib (MI), Ilhan Omar (MN) and Ayanna Pressley (MA). All four are members of the Democratic Party, the Congressional Progressive Caucus and Democratic Socialists of America. The four women are known for their advocacy and mainstreaming of racism and intolerance.
