Tim Johnson, born December 28, 1946 (age 77), is a Democratic United States Senator from South Dakota. In December, 2006, he suffered a hemorrhage, and returned to his duties in September 2007.[1] Johnson is one of a very small number of Senators and Congressmen with family members serving in the armed forces: Johnson's son Brooks is in the United States Army.
