Transgender invasion

The transgender invasion is the invasion by biological males, by asserting that they are transgenders, into girls' and women's sports. State laws that prohibit this have been mostly blocked by judicial activist courts and transgender lawfare.

This invasion began in the 2020s. Before then in some states, such as Massachusetts, boys were allowed to play in girls' sports if schools did not offer an equivalent for boys. This was not under transgender law, but under an interpretation of the state Equal Rights Amendment by Massachusetts' courts.
