UPI is the world's oldest privately owned news service, founded by the newspaper legend E.W. Scripps in 1907 to cover news from around the world.

  • As an alternative voice to Associated Press, UPI provides in-depth analysis of current events, as well as breaking news, briefs, for broadcast, print, electronic libraries, websites, and a variety of other subscribers. UPI is the interface of journalism's future, committed to unbiased, free and fair reporting of the world's events. [1]
