Uncyclopedia is a conservative encyclopedia created in January 2005.[1] It now has over 25,000 articles. Popular topics parodied include Global warming, Evolution and Creation, the Bush administration, Conservapedia, and popular culture. A recurring joke on the site is making up Oscar Wilde quotes as well as quotes by Chuck Norris, Captain Obvious, Kanye West, and Russian Reversals.

Uncyclopedia, because it is a parody of Wikipedia, like conservapedia, supports none of the same material that Wikipedia does. It is hosted by Wikia, Jimbo Wales' for profit webhost. Its lack of standards results in an obviously liberal stance, and much of their "humor" is directed at Christian and Conservative values. In particular, their article on Conservapedia is composed mostly of hate speech, labeling Liberals as "retards". In addition, they support creationism using a "pro-creationist" article, which proves creationism by phrases like "evolution will get you sent straight to hell" and "Darwin was a **** Satanist", which are what all conservatives think.

The site was, for a time, famous for its clever articles, but the tedious dramas are also often cited as being a source of amusements for the users and admins. The bitter in-fighting has also been used to allay many a high school/university shootings as lonely young men flock to "compete" on humour, particularly the kind of humour they have found girls unresponsive to.

Oscar Wilde instituted a hierarchical administration in the early days of Uncyclopedia to run the site without his supervision. This evil sect would allow for bickering about the site's direction to take place in a clean and less soiled environment than the rest of the site. Entry to the so called "Cabal" for users usually depends on how vocal the current active members are and whether the more moderate voices can stand the drama of yet more "queens" coming to the fore. The Cabal system is widely criticized even by members themselves; an anonymous source has commented, "Once you’re wedged into the Cabal the only real way out is further up it."[6]

Like the Bible, Uncyclopedia is far from family friendly; it contains many offensive words and images in its articles. Shortly after Jerry Falwell died (15th May, 2007), Uncyclopedia presented an article with the following highly offensive statements:

BREAKING NEWS!

Jerry Falwell has died.

DING DONG THE WITCH IS DEAD, THE WITCH IS DEAD, THE WITCH IS DEAD, DING DONG THE WITCH IS DEAD, THE MEAN OL' WICKED WITCH IS DEAD!
Dr. (it is a little known fact that he earned six PhDs) Jerry Fartwell (born: Breadline Era, died: Nappy Headed Imus Era) was a fat [obscenity deleted] bastard and famous mongoloid who reinstituted the hangman's noose in Lynchburg, Virginia (1956).

Update: Uncyclopedia finally deleted the Jerry Falwell article on 10th November, 2007.[2]

Uncyclopedia also has an article labeled "Bad Right Wing Jokes and Other Deleted Nonsense".[3]
