United Nations Charter signed 26 June 1945

Entry into force of Charter 24 October 1945

The United Nations is a globalist organization of countries all over the world, originally created to facilitate cooperation in international law, international security, the 2030 Agenda, economic development, and human rights. It was founded in 1945 at the signing of the United Nations Charter by 51 countries, replacing the League of Nations, founded in 1919. The UN currently has 193 members, including almost all the countries in the world. Non-members include Taiwan and Vatican City. Switzerland joined in 2002, being the last country to join the UN until now.[2] The United Nations typically supports liberal, environmentalist, socialist and communist ideals.[3][4][5][6]

History

The term "United Nations" was widely used during World War II to denote the allied powers making war against Germany and Japan, but the actual UN was created in 1945. It was designed by the U.S. State Department. President Franklin D. Roosevelt envisaged "four policemen", Britain, United States, Soviet Union, and Republic of China to be the major forces on what later became the UN Security Council to enforce the peace worldwide. This was deemed at the time as a modern approach to replace the old spheres of influence as they were called during the age of Imperialism.

US Secretary of State Cordell Hull said at the time while selling the idea to Congress, "there will no longer be need for spheres of influence, for alliances, for balance of power, or any other of the separate alliances through which in the unhappy past the nations strove to safeguard their security or promote their interest."

American enthusiasm for the UN soured after the Soviet Union vetoed most resolutions of the Security Council. However, the Soviets boycotted the UN in 1950, allowing the UN to officially sponsor the Korean War. However, North Dakota Congressman Usher L. Burdick in a January 17, 1957 speech titled "The Russians are and will continue to be on the inside of any military action taken by the Security Council of the United Nations" strongly implied that the Soviets nevertheless had indirect influence on the United Nations during the Korean War via its Security Council Secretary due to how it was structured, and that this was ultimately the reason why General MacArthur was unable to fully liberate Korea from Communism during the Korean War.[7] In practice, the U.S. made all the decisions for the UN regarding that war. When the Soviets returned in 1951, they caused UN decisionmaking to stalemate, and the UN played a minor role in the Cold War.

The western military alliance of NATO began in 1949 and played a much greater role in US foreign policy commitments and decisions during the Cold War than the UN ever did. The one exception was the Korean War, which was fought under UN auspices since the Soviet Union was boycotting the UN in 1950.

Originally designed to institutionalize the military alliance that emerged as victors in World War II, the U.N. has shown no inclination to reform itself. It's governing Security Council is controlled by the victorious powers of 1945 and bares scant resemblance to the demographic changes of the 21st century. For example, (in the pre-Brexit era) the European Union had two votes, while India and the Muslim world remain unrepresented. Its supposed democratic underpinnings take no account of cultural differences; Shariah law for example, forbids the two billion Muslims of the planet from forging alliances with non-believers or participating in legislative councils. In the Koranic system, all law comes from Allah, and man made law, such as the United Nations Charter, is strictly forbidden.

Record of the Secretary-Generals

When the first UN secretary-general, Trygve Lie of Norway, a Stalinist sympathizer, was the Minister of Justice in Norway, he told Lenin's former right-hand man Leon Trotsky not to criticize Stalin or else he would be imprisoned and or kicked out of Norway; Lie eventually put him in prison, but later according to Stalin's wishes exiled him to Mexico where one of Stalin's hit men assassinated him by hitting his head with a pickax in 1940.[8] As secretary-general, he failed to maintain peace in the 1947 Kashmir conflict, the 1948 Arab-Israeli conflict, and the Korean War from 1950-1953.

The second secretary-general, Dag Hammarskjold of Sweden, former head of the Bank of Sweden, the oldest central bank in the world, even older than the Bank of England, used UN troops in 1961 to crush the Katanga province of Zaire when it tried to get its independence from the Marxist government.[9]

The third secretary-general, U Thant of Burma, was a Marxist whose mentor was Burmese prime minister U Nu, who said in a 1948 speech, “If we now look back in history, we find that Stalin followed the right path”;[10] together, they abolished private property in Burma and U Thant choose a former KGB officer to be his personal assistant. U Thant was known for admiring Vladimir Lenin.”[11] So it should not be surprising that U Thant was very well liked by Soviet premier Nikita Khrushchev, and did nothing to help John F. Kennedy and Khrushchev negotiate the Cuban Missile Crisis. He failed to maintain peace in 1967 after the Six-Day Arab-Israeli War between Israel and its neighbors.

The fourth secretary-general, Kurt Waldheim, the future president of Austria, was a former Nazi infantry lieutenant who fought to help Adolf Hitler take over all of Europe, and he did not care who ruled the world, whether it be Nazi Germany or the UN, it did not matter to him so long as there was a one-world government. He believed that mass murder was merely a means to a better socialist end. So it should not be surprising that he sat down and did nothing to prevent from 1975-79 Cambodia’s Pol Pot from conducting his mass murders; Waldheim actually sent the UNICEF to send supplies to Hanoi, Vietnam, which in turn was sent to Pol Pot so he can conduct the “killing fields”.[12][13]

The fifth secretary-general, Javier Perez de Queller of Peru, who insisted on protecting the murderous regime of Pol Pot,[14] did nothing to make peace during the Iraq-Iran War. After leaving his job, when he ran for president of Peru in the spring of 1995, he was surrounded by well-known communists who were running his campaign, even though his country was facing a Maoist insurgency.

The sixth secretary-general, Boutros Boutros-Ghali of Egypt, the former vice-president of Socialist International and former member of the Arab Socialist Union, along with Undersecretary-general for Peacekeeping Operations Kofi Annan, aided the Rwandan genocide. Kofi Annan would not allow Canadian general Romeo Dallaire to get his troops to seize Hutu weapons and thwart an extermination plan. Annan at one time ordered UN troops to withdraw from a school that held Tutsi refugees causing them to get murdered by the Hutu mobs. In his June 1992 report An Agenda for Peace, he wrote, “The time of absolute and exclusive sovereignty . . . has passed.”[15]

After Kofi Annan of Ghana became the seventh secretary-general, he did nothing to prevent the 2000s genocide in Sudan and sent UN troops to make peace in the Zaire, but instead, they were raping women as young as 11. During the ceremonies surrounding his acceptance of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2001, Annan said, “The sovereignty of nations must no longer be used as a shield for gross violations of human rights.”[16] In his opening address to the fifty-third annual DPI/NGO (Department of Public Information/Non-Governmental Organization) Conference in 2006, Annan also said, “It has been said that arguing against globalization is like arguing against the laws of gravity.”[17]

The eighth secretary-general, Ban Ki-Moon of South Korea, like Kofi Annan, is a global warming alarmist and has criticized Dutch politician Geert Wilders for condemning Islam. He is also a sponsor of UN Agenda 21, a green socialist agenda for the 21st century meant to abolish private property.

The ninth and current secretary-general, Antonio Guterres, the former prime minister of Portugal and former president of Socialist International as well as former secretary-general of the Portuguese Socialist Party, supported bringing in “refugees” from the Syrian Civil War into Europe, even though the supermajority of them were soldiers of ISIS, as even the UN reported that 75% of them were young males.[18] He also blamed Russia for the Ukranian attack on the Nova Kakhovka Dam which flooded the area in and around Kherson during the NATO War in Ukraine.[19]

Organization

The main deliberative organ is the General Assembly which usually meets annually in September with representation by all member states. The General Assembly votes on the annual budget of the United Nations, elects members to other UN organs and committees and makes non-binding recommendations to member states through resolutions.

The Security Council handles matters relating to international peace and stability. It consists of five permanent members (USA, UK, France, Russia and PR China), and ten temporary members, which are elected by the General Assembly for two-year terms. The Security Council decides by vote. On substantive issues, nine members must support the proposal, including all five permanent members, giving each permanent member an effective veto power. The chair of the Security Council rotates each month among its members, in alphabetic order.

International Court of Justice

The International Court of Justice, based in The Hague, was founded to settle conflicts and disputes over questions arising from the interpretation of treaties among member states. It only may entertain [20] cases where all parties to the case in question have agreed to recognize the jurisdiction of the Court. The Court also advices other organs and agencies of the United Nations on questions of the interpretation of treaties.

Other Sections

The United Nations Economic and Social Council is a deliberative and advisory organ dedicated to promoting international economic and social cooperation and development. It cooperates with the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank Group and similar international agencies.

Gen. Sec. Ban Ki-Moon with singer Conchita Wurst.

The United Nations Secretariat is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the UN system. The head of the Secretariat is the Secretary-General, who is nominated by the Security Council and appointed by the General Assembly for renewable five-year terms. The current Secretary-General is Ban Ki-moon, the former Foreign Minister of the Republic of Korea. It is customary to let the position rotate among the different world regions.

Criticism

The U.N. has at various times in its history been accused of inefficiency and waste, which some critics have attributed to its cumbersome and excessive bureaucracy. Probably the most controversial issue with the United Nations is the Oil-for-Food scandal.

As a meeting place for many different nations, the UN can only act as a mechanism for international consensus. The UN has been unable to act in a clear and decisive way when confronted crises in which this consensus is not present. Recent examples include the Iranian nuclear program and the genocides in Darfur, Sudan and Rwanda. Because each of the five permanent members of the Security Council has a veto, and because they often disagree, many times no action can be agreed upon. Typically but not always this division includes the United States on one side with either China, Russia or both on the other. Other times the Security Council has been able to agree but lacks the will or means to enforce its resolutions. A recent example is the 2006 Israel-Lebanon Crisis, where no action has been taken to enforce the provisions of Resolution 1559 and Resolution 1701 to disarm terrorist organizations such as Hezbollah. There usually are no consequences for violating a Security Council resolution.

Alex Jones, a paleoconservative believes that the United Nations is plotting to take over the world along with the Bilderberg organization. Some believe the United Nations will be the one-world government mentioned in Revelation.

Inclusion on the old United Nations Commission on Human Rights (UNCHR) of nations such as Sudan and Libya, whose leaderships have dubious records on human rights, and Libya's chairmanship of this Commission, has been a highly controversial issue.

The UN headquarters, on the east side of Manhattan, opened its doors on January 10th, 1951.

The U.N. has been accused of hypocritical conduct and double standards. The U.N. condemns Israel for its conduct toward the Palestinians, yet it refuses to condemn China for its conduct toward the Tibetans.[21]

The United Nations has on many occasions ignored the plight of people across the world, especially in parts of Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Current examples include the UN's inaction toward the Sudanese government in Darfur, the Chinese government's ethnic cleansing in Tibet, and the Israel-Arab conflict.[22]

During the Rwandan genocide, the UN did not authorize UNAMIR to intervene or use force to prevent or halt the killing.

It was also criticized as being a Communist front, with evidence including Alger Hiss, who was infamously exposed as being a Soviet agent, being one of the key founders of the United Nations, several key founders of the UN being Soviet spies or otherwise enablers, the UN's own charter being a direct copy of the Soviet constitution, and former Communist leader Joseph Z. Kornfelder's own testimony that the people who founded the UN intended for it to be a Trojan horse to implement Communism in America.[23][24][25]

The UN has supported left-wing pet agenda items. In his 2018 New Year proclamation, Secretary-General António Guterres issued a "red alert for our world" to fight against "nationalism," "xenophobia," and "climate change."[26] The UN is supportive of open borders and mass migration.[27] On Easter 2018, a UN agency made a tweet claiming that mass migration is "inevitable," "necessary," and even "desirable."[28] In May 2018, the UN's Migration Agency Director-General William Lacy Swing attacked conservative immigration policies and claimed that mass migration was in the "national interest."[29] In September 2018, Filippo Grandi, the UN High Commissioner in charge of refugee matters, downplayed the seriousness of the European migrant crisis and labeled migration in general as "a source of progress and prosperity."[30] The UN has challenged President Trump's immigration actions in court,[31] and it aided illegal immigration to the United States.[32] Additionally, the UNICEF's director stated that the West must be forced to allow mass migration.[33] Even for issues ostensibly unrelated to international relations, the UN promotes globalism as the solution to problems.[34][35]

Conservatives and proponents of Judeo-Christian values have criticized the UN's education programs for instilling left-wing and Marxist values into children in the countries where they are implemented.[36] The organization has promoted social engineering in other ways, including by demanding gender quotas on the UK Army during an operation in Africa in 2019.[37]

In 2018, the United Nations Human Rights Council effectively called for making nationalist-populism illegal and cracking down on those who voice conservative and Christian beliefs.[38] In 2019, U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres announced in a speech that the UN would target so-called "hate speech."[39] Additionally, the UN regularly elects authoritarian rights-abusing dictatorships to the Human Rights Council. It has promoted Iran as a human rights-friendly country despite the opposite being true.[40]

The UN has also been criticized for promoting left-wing environmentalism and exaggerating reports on environmental damage.[41]

Totalitarian China's influence in the UN has been increasing.[42][43]

The UN takes a left-wing stance on capital punishment, condemning the conservative Trump administration's decision to restore the federal death penalty for serious crimes as "rolling back progress."[44]

Promoting abortion

The Committee for the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) pushes countries to promote abortion. [45] The UN played a role in passing a radical 2019 New York abortion law that allowed abortion up to the very moment of birth.[46]

Chinese Communist infiltration

China has gained significant influence within the United Nations, and Chinese law dictates that they remain loyal to Beijing in their service.[Citation Needed]

A report from a coalition of human rights groups, led by Amnesty International Canada, says that China is increasingly using “threats, bullying and harassment” to intimidate activists around democracy, civil rights, and those who speak out against human rights abuses of Uyghurs, Tibetans, and Falun Gong practitioners.[Citation Needed]

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has a long-range plan that very much includes the U.N.[Citation Needed] The regime even opened a “School of Global Governance” at the Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) to train armies of future diplomats and spies to work in international organizations.[Citation Needed] In 2018, Chinese leader Xi Jinping said Beijing would take “an active part in leading the reform of the global governance system.”[Citation Needed] Former U.N. investigator-turned-whistleblower Peter Gallo said,[Citation Needed]

“the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights was caught handing over names of Chinese human rights activists to the Chinese government, so the Chinese police and security agencies could go and intimidate their relatives in China, all to ensure that nobody spoke out against China being elected to the Human Rights Council.”

Unlike individuals from most nations, and contrary to U.N. employment policies, Chinese officials openly retain their loyalty to the Communist Party above all else, which is hardly a secret. When the Chinese Communist regime arrested then-Interpol chief Meng Hongwei in 2018, it publicly accused him of failing to obey Communist Party orders,[47] among other supposed crimes.[Citation Needed]

Communist China agents run four of 15 specialized U.N. agencies, including the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and the U.N. Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA). By comparison, just one American holds a top post in a U.N. specialized agency.

Most of those leadership positions for Communist Chinese agents were secured during the Obama administration. Numerous other top spots for Chinese agents also occurred during the Obama administration: Xue Hanqin’s selection to the International Court of Justice, Tao Zhang’s appointment as deputy chief of the International Monetary Fund in August of 2016, and Yi Xiaozhun’s 2013 appointment as deputy leader of the World Trade Organization, among many others.

In 2019, using bribery and threats,[Citation Needed] Beijing managed to seize control of the powerful U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), despite Trump administration efforts to block that. Years earlier, though, Americans working within and around the U.N. agency warned about Chinese “trust funds” within FAO, as well as that Beijing would be running a candidate to take over the agency.

In 2019, Beijing was working to install Andy Tsang as head of the U.N. Office on Drugs and Crime, while plenty of other Chinese operatives also were being groomed for senior posts across the U.N. Beijing’s agents lead key U.N. conferences as well, with CCP propaganda organs boasting that Beijing played a “crucial role” in the U.N. Agenda 2030 sustainability plan for humanity.[48]

By the end of 2020, China had become the largest provider of peacekeepers among the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council.[49]

UN failure at serious war crimes and torture en masse

Despite massive evidence of perpetrating crimes against humanity and war crimes, the Syrian regime seems to be in a state of impunity when it comes to international justice.[50]

Arab-Israel record/dispute

B'nai B'rith magazine gives a Jewish view of the UN, winter 2009 online
A General Assembly resolution led to the partition of Palestine in 1947, but the UN was useless in preventing armed Arab aggression against the new State of Israel in 1948. Increasingly the General Assembly became a forum for Arab attacks on Israel. Ahmed Shukairy, the first chairman of the Palestinian Liberation Organization terror group, was a Syrian delegate from 1949 to 1951 and later Saudi ambassador to the UN from 1957 to 1962. Shukairy was a Nazi collaborator[51] who "spread Nazi-style hatred of Jews, even in the United Nations." [52]

The UN has taken a one-sided approach to issues relating to the Israel-Arab conflict. Israel has consistently been singled out by the UN for uniquely critical treatment. In 1975 the General Assembly passed a resolution declaring that "Zionism is racism",[53] and UN-sponsored meetings supposedly opposing racism have criticized Israel (which grants equal political and religious rights to Arabs) while suppressing all criticism of those Arab countries (where non-Muslims are second-class citizens and anti-Semitism enjoys state support).

Unlike other refugee groups, the Palestinian Arabs have their own agency within the United Nations, and are beneficiaries of special events such as an "International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People."[54] Israel was excluded from membership in any of the UN's regional groups until 2000. In effect, this meant Israel was forbidden from serving on UN bodies such as the Security Council. Israel's recent permission to participate more fully within the UN as a member of the Western European and Others regional group is temporary and subject to renewal. Israel is allowed to participate only in the New York operations of the UN and is excluded from the UN offices in Geneva, Nairobi, Rome, and Vienna which handle such issues as human rights and arms control. Censure of Israel has apparently been instituted as a routine agenda item for various UN bodies such as the Human Rights Council. The 1975 Resolution 3379 qualified Zionism as a form of racism (later revoked with Resolution 4686).

On December 23, 2016, due to the leftist Obama Administration's abstention from a vote which broke over 35 years of American policy, a blatantly anti-Israel resolution was passed in the U.N.[55][56] In response to the anti-Israel UN vote, Israel cut $6 million in its annual dues to the leftist organization on January 6, 2017.[57]

In March 2017, the UN Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia authored a destructive and anti-Semitic[58][59] report against Israel. The report and agency were strongly criticized by the United States and UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, and the executive director of the commission resigned in response.[60][61]

In 2019, the United Nations Economic and Social Council – comprised of Islamic and otherwise totalitarian countries with records of disrespecting women, such as Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Turkey, Pakistan, Yemen, Iran, and China – voted to condemn Israel for allegedly violating women's rights.[62][63]

UN VS Israel

The UN’s History of the ‘Question of Palestine’ Omits Every Palestinian Attack on Jews.[64] It says, “1936/1939 — Palestinian rebellion against the British Mandate and Jewish immigration.” But not that Arabs murdered Jews, just that it was a "rebellion."

There are many factors in UN's war against Israel since the 1970s, including the Arab oil lobby,[65] the Arab huge market as an economic power, Islamic bigotry by religious zealots influencing its politicians represemting Muslim countries, radical liberal agenda pushers (including extremists inside Israel, those making much noise who don't pass the Lynch test) and plain old racists.[66]

From a critic of Israel, judge Richard Goldstone:[67]

I insisted on changing the original mandate adopted by the Human Rights Council, which was skewed against Israel. I have always been clear that Israel, like any other sovereign nation, has the right and obligation to defend itself and its citizens against attacks from abroad and within. Something that has not been recognized often enough is the fact that our report marked the first time illegal acts of terrorism from Hamas were being investigated and condemned by the United Nations. I had hoped that our inquiry into all aspects of the Gaza conflict would begin a new era of evenhandedness at the U.N. Human Rights Council, whose history of bias against Israel cannot be doubted.

Among highlighted actions in UN's war against Israel [published in 2021]:[68]

  • UN’s ECOSOC Singles Out Israel for “Violating Women’s Rights”.

Iran, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Belarus were among member states of the UN’s 54-nation Economic and Social Council that voted to single out Israel as the only country in the world to be rebuked this year for allegedly violating women’s rights.

  • World Health Assembly Deviates From Coronavirus to Condemn Israel.
  • UN’s Virtual Palestinian Exhibit Distorts Facts..
  • UN Refers To Jerusalem’s Temple Mount Solely by Its Muslim Name.
  • UN Censors UN Watch Submissions on Palestinian Abuse of Child Rights.
  • Despite Pandemic, UN Human Rights Council Holds Three Anti-Israel Sessions Under Infamous Agenda Item 7.
  • UN Special Rapporteur on Palestinian Human Rights Michael Lynk Turns Blind Eye to Hamas & PA Abuses.
  • UN General Assembly Condemns Israel in 17 Resolutions, 6 on Rest of the World Combined.
  • UN Releases Anti-Israel Blacklist, Fueling BDS.
At UN's silence while Libertad protesters were crushed in oppressive Cuba in 2021, activist noted:[69]
There are real crimes of oppression, violence and killing of civilians around the world around the world. This is happening right now in Cuba, in South Africa and even in the Palestinian Authority. But the UN Human Rights Council, the International Criminal Court in The Hague and even the US administration are silent and continue to engage only in Israel.

In the aftermath of Guardian of Walls, all three panelists set up by the UN so called "human rights" have a history of activism and inflammatory rhetoric against Israel. [70] Shocker.[71]

When infamous virulently anti-Israel Navi Pillay, jumped on the opportunity to smear Istael under a mask of "investigating"[72][73] (and Miloon Kothari Who lied for example on Al Jazeera in 2011[73]) Her "report" was condemned by 22 nations.[74] Some black South Africans who were victims of the original, South-African brand of apartheid were incensed at her charge and that 'Nelson Mandela Would Not Approve' on the smear "report."[75]

In addition, during that very report work, what was exposed was the real apartheid - that on the Arab Palestinian side:[76]
The report documents how the Palestinian Authority enforces a system of apartheid to ensure that every inch of territory under its control is strictly judenrein (free of Jews) by punishing Palestinian land sales to Jews with the death penalty, and by inciting the murder of Jews through financial rewards to terrorists.
At the Iran/Hamas/PIJ Oct 2023 barbarity attack

At the barbarian Iran/Hamas/PIJ onslaught Oct 2023 which led to Swords of Iron, the US demanded condemnation of Hamas at UN meeting, but Security Council taook no immediate action.[77]

The B'nai B'rith sent a letter to the editor of the Washington Post:

B'nai B’m'rith International CEO Dan Mariaschin and AJIRI-BBI Chair Richard P. Schifter sent a letter to the Washington Post regarding its recent, misleading article about UNRWA (“What is UNRWA, the U.N. agency in Gaza struggling to help Palestinians?” Washington Post, October 16).

From Daniel S. Mariaschin, B’nai B’rith International CEO and Richard P. Schifter, AJIRI-BBI Chair:

The Washington Post unfortunately misses a crucial and central point in its article about the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) (“What is UNRWA, the U.N. agency in Gaza struggling to help Palestinians?” Washington Post, October 16). Far from being an agency acting merely “to protect and support civilians,” it is an extremely problematic entity that for 75 years has exacerbated the Palestinian problem and symbolized the failure to solve it.

As the article itself casually states, UNRWA is “unique…in terms of its long-standing commitment to one group of refugees.” UNRWA is, in fact, an outrageous anomaly (all other refugees in the world are covered by UNHCR—the U.N. refugee agency) that has perpetuated the Arab-Israeli conflict and has thus cost many thousands of lives, including the lives of over 1,300 innocent Israelis massacred on October 7 by Hamas terrorists claiming the phony grievances—of “dispossession”—that are pushed by UNRWA.

The refugees from 1948 (refugees from a war initiated by Arab states against the new State of Israel, the aim of which was to destroy the latter) should have been resettled long ago, as have been millions of refugees from other conflicts all over the world. They were purposely kept as “refugees” by the Arab governments and by UNRWA to whip up hatred against Israel.

Although there are believed to be only some 30,000 living Palestinian refugees from 1948, UNRWA incredibly recognizes over 5.9 million descendants of these refugees, as eligible for its services. UNRWA schools, far from teaching Palestinian children to become “confident, innovative, questioning, thoughtful, and open-minded, to uphold human values and tolerance,” as the article falsely claims, inculcate generation after generation with hatred of and resentment against Israel and with the false fantasy that they will one day “return” to their homes.

As pointed out in Einat Wilf and Adi Schwartz’s excellent book, “The War of Return,” numerous terrorists (including at least one of the surviving Munich Olympic massacre perpetrators) were direct products of UNRWA schools. UNRWA is simply not a neutral humanitarian institution. It is a malign actor that exacerbates the problems and suffering of the Palestinian people. [78]

Matthias Schmale

The 2021's head of the UN Palestinian refugee agency’s mission (UNRWA) in Gaza Matthias Schmale, who was always anti Israel, after the operation Guardian of the Walls, only as much as agreed during an interview with an Israeli news channel that IDF airstrikes in Gaza were 'precise,' "Palestinians" protested against him and he had to leave the post.[79]

Sarah Muscroft

UN senior official official who dared to criticize Palestinian Islamic Jihad for its indiscriminate rocket attacks which triggers IDF response, lost job after BDS and pro Jihad "Palestinian" pressure.[79] From reaction to UN conduct: "Every time I think the UN and its people have hit rock bottom, they prove that you can go lower. Shocking!."[80]

Francesca Albanese
Francesca Albanese - Hamas cheered (Graphic, a meme)

Watchdog, who among activists, raised alarm ahead of her appointment , that whe was not supposed to get her position in the first place for her Israelophobia record, showed, were proven right with her propaganda "report" in 2022.[81] This infamous anti-Israel F Albanese, got cheers from the terror org. Hamas, naturally, after she ignored Israelis' rights to human rights in her so-called "report." Not one word about incitement or glorification of terror in Palestinian media and schools. In fact, in a two year period when more Israeli civilians are being murdered than at any time since 2008, their deaths are utterly absent.  There is not even a pretense of impartiality - no paragraph buried inside the so-called "report" saying, oh by the way, armed militias are popping up in Jenin and Nablus and Hebron, or a reform? declaration that Israel has the right to defend itself. Nothing. (July/2023). [82]

In Nov 2023, Francesca Albanese, faced accusations amid controversy. "Despite the expectation of impartiality for UN special rapporteurs, Albanese’s statements have consistently reflected a pro-Palestinian and anti-Israeli stance. The special rapporteur, in fact, has a history of making inflammatory remarks, such as accusing the “Jewish lobby” of controlling the United States of America, comparing Israel to the Nazis, and referring to Israel as a settler-colonial enterprise." A trip to Australia, sponsored by Palestinian lobbying groups, violates Article 3 of the UN code of conduct. Already in 2022 it was raised that she failed to disclose that her husband, Massimiliano Calì, had worked for the Ministry of Economy of the Palestinian Authority. And Italian journalist Antonino Monteleone has examined her claim to be a “lawyer”, after discrepancies emerged in her curriculum vitae.[83]

There were calls to fire her in Feb 2024, after she said that the Oct 7 2023 Hamas led atrocities on civilians were supposedly "not" antisemitic...[84]

Martin Griffith

In Feb 2024, Martin Griffith was "branded ‘pathetic,’ a ‘collaborator of Hamas’ for saying group is not a terrorist organization."[85]

Operation Shield and arrow

Former UK commander rejects UN accusations leveled at Israeli army, which adheres to — and goes beyond — international laws of war in this conflict fueled by Iran; No country can sit back and watch while its enemies lash out. "A grave slur against IDF’: UN plays right into Islamic Jihad’s hands."[86]

Operation Shield and Arrow has been carried out to date with breathtaking effectiveness. The shield of Iron Dome and David’s Sling have prevented major loss of life among the civilian population, although so far one man has been tragically killed and some have been injured, despite a barrage of 547 deadly rockets fired at Israel at the time of writing [as of Friday, May 12, that number had increased to 937].

The arrows of targeting intelligence, air strikes and missile attacks have decimated the Gaza terrorist leadership and destroyed many of their weapons. No other military is capable of defending its people with the ferocity and precision the IDF has been showing.

Unfortunately, some of Israel’s arrows have also killed uninvolved civilians. The UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, said yesterday that the civilian deaths in Gaza are “unacceptable” and called on Israel to “abide by its obligations under international humanitarian law”….

"Commitees..."

As being a massive anti-Israel machine, the UN has an extraordinarily slew of "committees, subcommittees and other organs are dedicated to bashing Israel."[87]

Durban hate fests

In 2021, at least 31 countries, including the US shunned the hate fest racist UN Durban conference.[88]

Nations convinced to shun Durban Conference under Israeli diplomatic pressure, spearheaded by Lapid; FM says move demonstrates Israel's political power on the world stage.

Thirty-one nations have so far decided to boycott a UN meeting marking the 20th anniversary of the Durban World Conference on Racism later this week due to the event's anti-Semitic nature in the past, marking a major diplomatic win for Israel.

The first conference was held in Durban, South Africa from August 31 through September 8, 2001, and covered several controversial issues, including redress for transatlantic slavery and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Described in sep, 2021:[89]:
This is what the Durban Conference looks like: empty thanks to dozens of countries that refused to participate and who was left participating in this hate conference?

Countries like Iran, Syria, Afghanistan, China and North Korea ... and that says it all! Disgrace! The Festival of Hate.[90] Writer elaborates on: 'Twenty years after Durban, what we still get wrong about left-wing anti-Semitism.'[91]

Swords of Iron / Guterres +

Guterres

Outrage at Antonio Guterres for stating the "Palestinian" Oct 7 (unprovoked attack) atrocities on civilians "did not occur in a vacuum." Called a 'terror apologist.'[92] And his pathetic attempts to "correct" were not accepted. [93]

Beginning of Nov 2023: 'UN's Guterres spreads Hamas lies to the point of complicity in terror.'[94]

Then, weeks later, falsely posting "unprecedented" ("worst ever"). 'Caught in a lie, slammed by users.'[95]

At UN testimony Dec/4/23: Israel accused the UN during the special session of moving too slowly to address reports that the terror group unleashed sexual violence as a weapon of war in its attack. Hamas terrorists had 'a thing with sexual organs' and targeted genitalia of Israeli victims. "This was premeditated. This was planned. This was instructed." There were "horrific things I saw with my own eyes and I felt with my own hands," said a volunteer who helped collect the remains of the slaughtered victims.[96]

Lynn Hastings

On Dec 6, 2023, Israel revoked UN so-called "Humanitarian" Coordinator’s visa. Taking issue with Lynn Hastings position concerning Hamas’s October 7 infiltration of southern Israel, where it killed over 1,200 people and seized some 250 hostages.[97]

Israeli Foreign Minister a day later: 'Guterres's tenure is a danger to world peace' As he became even more extreme, trying to enact measures (as he is now with vengeance).[98]

Hamas launches rockets near Gazan civilian tents, UN facilities Dec.7.23

On Dec 7, 2023 "Palestinian" terrorists Hamas launched rockets near Gazan civilian tents, UN facilities.[99]

Lamia Burkart

As UN's radical racist-Arab Lamia Burkart (dual French-Tunisian national who lives in Germany) posted anti-Semitic (including hurling the N comparison) and pro-Hamas posts have been exposed, Burkart then threatened activist.

Khaled Hassan, posting on Dec 28, 2023:

"In what world is it okay for a

@UN employee and consultant, who worked on human rights-related issues, to share these horrifically antisemitic tweets, call for the ethnic cleansing of Israel, as well as target me and Rabbi @ReichmanShmuel?"
[100]

At the end, on Jan 5, 2024, the UN switched tactics and decided to claim as if the account was supposedly "hacked." 'UN claims antisemitic posts are due to employee account being hacked. The world body, which has long been accused of Jew-hatred, waffled on its explanation of the situation.'[101]

'Stalling’ entry of aid to Gaza

On Jan 4, 2024, COGAT again slammed UN for ‘stalling’ entry of aid to Gaza and ‘avoiding the facts.’ The Defense Ministry body responsible for Palestinian civilian affairs again accuses the United Nations of not doing enough to process humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip. “You can’t keep avoiding the facts: There is no collective punishment. 2 crossings are open. You said you can transfer 200 trucks a day in Kerem Shalom, yet you’re not scraping 100,” says COGAT in a post on X, responding to claims by Philippe Lazzarini, the commissioner-general of UNRWA.[102]

UNRWA "Palestine"

UNRWA is rotten to its core. From a Feb 3, 2024 piece: 10 myths about UNRWA you may have mistakenly believed:

Myth 1: UNRWA is a UN organization.

Well, technically it is, but in fact, UNRWA is a Palestinian outfit with Palestinian employees and Palestinian objectives. Of its 13,000 employees in Gaza, 99% are Palestinian, alongside a tiny number of international employees who cover for Palestinian corruption and Islamic radicalism. It is a Palestinian boondoggle.

Since most Palestinians in Gaza support Hamas, it stands to reason that many if not the majority of UNRWA employees are Hamas supporters too. According to Israeli intelligence, a full 10% of UNRWA Gaza staff are identifiable Hamas or Palestinian Islamic Jihad activists; hundreds of others openly celebrated the October 7 rapes and murders; and 190 UNRWA employees are “hardened militants” – fighters and killers with unmistakable terrorist records.

This is far more than "a few bad apples in the basket," as some champions for UNRWA said this week.

Myth 2: UNRWA is a relief organization for Palestinians.

This has not been true for many years. UNRWA provides little food or humanitarian aid. The vast majority of its budget is devoted to Palestinian schools and hospitals, which is an anomaly without precedent anywhere else in the world.

There is no other UN organization that covers health and education costs for almost an entire population – in place of its local government. UNRWA runs the relevant institutions and pays the bills throughout Gaza, instead of Hamas having to provide health, education, and welfare for its own constituents. Hamas relies on UNRWA and its Western donors to operate core provinces of Gazan government, leaving Hamas scot-free to build terror attack tunnels and camp out in underground military bunkers for war against Israel.

Myth 3: UNRWA is a neutral organization.

No, it is not. UNRWA is a political outfit that shapes the story of Palestinian victimhood, preserves and prolongs Palestinian refugeehood, and educates towards perpetual war with Israel including Palestinian dreams of destroying Israel through refugee “return.” UNRWA is the most deleterious driver of a narrative of Israeli criminality, for 75 years now and running.

In particular, UNRWA keeps conflict with Israel alive by granting fictitious refugee status to an ever-inflating number of Palestinians – 20 times beyond the scope of real refugee levels – while refusing to permanently resettle even one single refugee.

Myth 4: UNRWA is a moderating and calming force.

Even though international wags (and even parts of the Israeli defense establishment) have made this claim for years, it simply holds no water. UNRWA is deeply impregnated and dominated by Hamas, and it certainly was of no taming or tempering effect before, after, or on October 7. Everybody can do without the make-believe soothing brainwaves of UNRWA.

Watchdog organizations tirelessly have documented the hate taught in UNRWA classrooms. Palestinian children learn that Jews are liars and fraudsters and that Jews spread corruption which will lead to their annihilation. Terrorists are glorified as role models. Lessons that incite violence are taught across all grades and subjects, including in math and science classes. Inevitably, the systematic teaching of hatred and violence within the UNRWA school system is Palestinian terror against Israel.

Myth 5: Palestinians in Gaza truly need global funding for their most basic needs.

From what the IDF has discovered in Gaza over the past three months it does not seem that Gazans are exceptionally needy or helpless.

The Hamas government in Gaza appears to be perfectly capable of undertaking big, sophisticated, and expensive projects ranging from underground tunnel and bunker networks that rival London’s underground system, to industrial weapons factories built to the best engineering standards, to well-organized commando units with top-notch intelligence capabilities and crafty attack planning skills.

Palestinians in Gaza do not suffer from underfunding, sub-par education, or deprivation of skilled labor, but from self-inflicted wounds that stem from a distortion of priorities. For decades they have prioritized warfare against Israel over building their own society in a healthy way. They need Western guidance (pressure) in reordering their priorities, not necessarily more cash or other aid.

Myth 6: Palestinians in Gaza need UNRWA to keep them alive.

This is not true according to Palestinians themselves. Even as some Western funders of UNRWA have suspended donations to UNRWA in recent days, the main concern expressed by Palestinians relates to a possible denouement in global recognition of their cause. They are much more distressed about the political blow to their status as privileged victims than they are about the money.

There are hundreds of social media posts and other testimonies indicating this; that Gazans see UNRWA far less as a critical provider of social services and emergency aid and much more as the vital validator of Palestinian identity in their never-ending war with Israel.

Myth 7: Without an immediate restoration of full UNRWA funding, Palestinians in Gaza will starve.

There is no “dire crisis” in access to food and water in Gaza. Nobody there is on the “verge of starvation.” Hundreds of trucks with goods and fuels enter Gaza every day despite the war, based on donations from Arab and (still) Western countries. Hamas demonstrably confiscates millions of dollars worth of such supplies for its army and favored elites, about which UNRWA has done nothing. But a steady flow of goods into Gaza continues, even if UNRWA’s pockets are a bit less padded.

Myth 8: UNRWA is the most efficient way to deliver assistance to Palestinians.

No, it certainly is not, and not just because UNRWA lets Hamas run off with lots of goods. There are far more efficient, less corrupt, and less grossly political aid agencies, some of which already are present in Gaza (and the West Bank), that can be mobilized to replace UNRWA. This includes USAID, UNICEF, and the World Food Programme. They could all do the work without succumbing to Palestinian legerdemain.

Myth 9: UNRWA can be fixed.

UNRWA needs more than an “urgent audit,” as the EU reluctantly mumbled this week, and much more than “enhanced due diligence and other oversight mechanisms,” as one unfriendly-to-Israel congressman grudgingly called for.

UNRWA needs to be abolished so that Gaza’s transition away from aid and toward economic development, and away from genocidal fantasies and toward peace building can begin quickly. It is certainly true that the current division of labor – UNRWA services above ground, Hamas terror operations below ground and from within UNRWA facilities – cannot continue.

This requires different international actors that can develop productive industry and jobs in Gaza, and that can lead the construction and operation of civilian services. International funding may still be necessary, but it should be administered by foreign governments directly and by different organizations that are subject to continuous oversight and rigorous accountability.

Myth 10: Wartime is not the right time to shutter UNRWA.

Now is the perfect time to do so. As Israel liberates Gaza from Hamas, the international community can unshackle Palestinians from UNRWA. At the same time Israel can unchain itself from destructive dependency on UNRWA and its problematic Israeli counterpart, the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories – COGAT.

Then the rebuilding of Gaza can advance, free from rank corruption, destructive indoctrination, the coddling of terrorism, and overall moral rot that for too long has contaminated international aid politics for Palestinians.[103]

So called "Palestinian refugees"

Expert:[104]

By most definitions, refugees are those forced to flee their country because of persecution, war or violence. Nearly every refugee in the world is cared for by the United Nations High Commissioner on Refugees, whose ultimate goal is repatriation, resettlement and integration. The exception? Palestinian refugees.

Arab states insisted on a different definition for Palestinian-Arab refugees of the Israeli War of Independence — and a different agency to care for them. Today, millions of people are referred to as “Palestinian refugees” even though the only home they, and in many cases even their parents and grandparents, have ever known is either a refugee camp or an Arab host nation like Jordan.

Many of the Arab immigrant into the Holy Land[105][106] are today also "Palestinian refugees."[107]

"Refugee camps"

The Arab leadership's caused[108] "refugees" as a propaganda with inflated numbers,[109] have been but a tool by Arab nations and Israelophobes.

The fraud also include the strange fact of "refugee camps" inside Palestinian cities...[110]

(Un Watch documented about Palestine refugees’ properties and their revenues.[111]).

Alarm already in the 1960s

Concern already raised in 1966, over funds for UNRWA ending up at terror:[112]

The American contribution is made through the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and experts have bern aware fir a long time "that many of the dollars are eventually diverted, directly or indirectly to Ahmad Shukairy's Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). Specialists on Arab affairs estimate that about 100,000 refugees are secret members of the Palestine Liberation Army, the mlitary wing of the PLO. The majority of them are on UNRWA's elief rolls." And since the United States, whose contribution to UNRWA represents 70 per cents of its budget has repeatedly expressed concern."

Hitler helper: Ahmad Shukairy
In 1967 alarm over Hitler helper Ahmad Shukairy:[113]

Antiwar Group Warns Public of PLO Leader Shukairy.

NEW YORK — In a letter to the editor published in Wednesday's New York Times, Dr. Albert Simard, secretary of the Society for the Prevention of World War Three warns of the "dangerous" background and activities of Ahmed Shukairy, head of the Palestine Liberation Organization who, he said, had expressed hatred of the West.

Recalling the pro-Hilter activities "highest levels of government" of Shukairy when he was associated with the notorious Grand Mufti of Jerusalem.

Dr. Simard said, that the Arab terrorist leader "also played a most active role in keeping tensions white hot in the Middle East and inciting the Arabs against the West." ...

Noting the PLO's announced purpose of "organizing international guerilla..." Dr. Simard cited the organization's close relationship with Communist China...

In an article published in the latest issue of the society's magazine, "Prevent World War Three," the society called on the United States to withdraw all support from the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine refugees if the UNRWA does not adjust its relief operations to ensure that no PLO guerillas are beneficiaries.

Luxuary "refugees"

Report: 'Every luxury villa in Gaza has UNRWA equipment.' There are refugees there with luxury apartments (eyewitness saw the passports) and understand there that this is a kind of use of a title emptied of its real content, like the title of Sir or Duke in Great Britain.[114]

In Lebanon

In 1982, UNRWA school in Siblin (Seblin) Southern Lebanon was tuned into a terrorist headquarter for the PLO, with masses of weapons caches, material to provide for terror, including to act internationally. In one of the rooms picture of Arafat on the wall was flanked by a large black swastika on a red background.[115][116][117] The coverup went on for while. The initial coverup was undertaken by UNRWA's employees. All but 120 of the 17,000 UNRWA staff are Palestinian Arabs. As one staff member put it a few years later. "You might say we're a Palestinian agency under the UN flag." It has been revealed that UNIFIL was actually providing heads up for PLO on incoming IDF actions. [116][118]

Chris Gunness of UNRWA

In July, 2014, Israel’s UN Ambassador called for ‘Immediate’ Suspension of UNRWA Spokesman Chris Gunness for "shamelessly promoting an individual who shares Hamas’s morally reprehensible convictions."[119]

Worst, UN agency handed rockets back to Hamas. UNRWA said it gave 20 missiles found in Gaza school to ‘local authorities’ that are under the ‘government of national consensus in Ramallah’.[120]

When an Arab "Palestinian" human rights activist attacked flawed UNRWA to reform it,[121] offended Chris Gunnes attacked the JPOST with vile anger.[122] He also blamed Israel for Hamas medical crimes.[123]

In 2015, expert asked:[124] Will Chris Gunness ever be held to account for his role in Hamas' cannibalistic "dead baby" strategy?

Horror: Hitler admiration, violence promotion, death celebration at UN run schools

Report published in Aug, 2021 found:[125]
Over 100 teachers and staff of schools run by UNRWA have been explicitly and publicly promoting hateful content, particularly against Jews and Israelis, including celebrating deaths.

And: A total of 113 instances of incitement obtained by UN Watch from the public social media pages of the UNWRA employees shows that many celebrated and promoted violence.

As UNRWA chief proposed a so-called ‘neutrality training’, Israel rejected it and demanded Hitler-admiring teachers be fired. [126]

Nahed Sharawi, a math teacher at an UNRWA school in Gaza.[127] Posting about (her) Hitler. (2017, 2018)

Sep 29, 2017, Feb 13, 2018:
Nahed Sharawi, posted a Hitler video with his quotes in order to "enlighten and enrich" her friends’ minds. She also posted an antisemitic story depicting J.. as supposedly scheming thieves - Sharawi. glorifying Hitler. A highlighted "Palestinian" teacher, a Gaza resident 113 UNRWA educators and staff who have publicly promoted violent or hateful rhetoric in years 2015-2021.[127][128][129]

Hitler wake up UNRWA's Labibeh Iskandarani, October 4, 2017: ""Hitler wake up, you still have people to burn"

A 2023 study reveals that the UN aid agency, UNRWA, continues to educate Palestinian children about hatred and anti-Semitism, despite its commitments to avoid incitement. Thus, death and jihad were described in an Arabic grammar exercise as "the most important things in life", a Molotov cocktail attack on a bus was called a "barbecue party", and teachers glorified terrorists.[130]

UNRWA & terror

Personal equipment for UNRWA employee

Overview in 2023: 'Hamas and UNRWA are one and the same' :

At the very core of this unparalleled phenomenon is the ideological insistence that all of the people granted Palestinian refugee status be resettled exclusively within the State of Israel, automatically transforming it into an Arab supremacist state. Thus, UNRWA’s refugee policy is not a humanitarian measure; it is a genocidal weapon. Inevitably, UNRWA has become a full partner with Hamas and the PLO in their sordid quest to erase the Jewish presence in the Middle East.

The bonds between UNRWA and Hamas are as broad as they are deep. UNRWA employs more than 13,000 Gazans, many of whom are active Hamas members and holders of senior positions in the internationally sanctioned terrorist organization. Hamas has absolute control of UNRWA schools, which constitute the majority of educational institutions in Gaza. The curriculum taught in these schools is openly pro-terrorist and pro-genocide, which should come as no surprise given the horrific Oct. 7 massacre committed by Hamas and UNRWA-educated Gazans.

Indeed, UNRWA itself often acts very much like a terrorist organization. It owns and operates extensive property assets in Gaza—such as offices, storage facilities, clinics and other medical centers—that serve as access points to the attack tunnels built by Hamas, storehouses for ammunition and rocket launch pads. These UNRWA installations also enable Hamas to use the civilian population of Gaza as human shields. UNRWA ambulances have been repeatedly caught red-handed transporting terrorists and weapons, and have been actively involved in attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians. Clearly, UNRWA and Hamas are inextricably intertwined.[131]

Terror infrastructure beneath UNRWA HQ

In 2024, the IDF found in UNRWA's central headquarters in Gaza. UNRWA offices served Hamas terrorists for terror activities. Beneath the refugee agency's office was a tunnel which shared electric infrastructure with Hamas. Following intelligence, the forces arrived at a tunnel shaft near an UNRWA school. The shaft led to an underground terror tunnel that served as a significant asset of Hamas' military intelligence and passed under the building that serves as UNRWA's main headquarters in the Gaza Strip. The tunnel was 700 meters long and 18 meters deep and contained several blast doors. A wide variety of intelligence assets were seized. Forces located electrical infrastructure inside the tunnel connected to UNRWA's main headquarters, under which the underground tunnel was located, indicating that UNRWA's facilities supplied the tunnel with electricity. Large quantities of weapons were found inside the rooms of the building, including rifles, ammunition, grenades and explosives. Intelligence and documents discovered in the offices of UNRWA officials confirmed that the offices had in fact also been used by Hamas terrorists.[132]

US taxpayer dollars

The Trump Administration cut off US funding to UNRWA in 2018 but the Biden administration reversed the decision. Under him, the White House has been "reckless" in its decision to "funnel millions of dollars into this corrupt organization." In Feb 2023, GOP senators and reps. introduce bill to cut UNRWA funding, blasting it for 'rampant history' of ties to antisemitism and terrorism.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency Accountability and Transparency Act seeks to end the use of American taxpayer dollars flowing to UNRWA which the bill’s sponsors noted has a “rampant history of anti-Israel and antisemitic propaganda and activity.”

“UNRWA’s lengthy and detailed history of promoting antisemitism, violence, and terrorism through ‘educational’ materials, and its continued ties to Hamas, should completely disqualify this corrupt entity from receiving any US taxpayer funding,” Roy said.

“UNRWA has failed to meet previous commitments to stop its hostility towards Israel, and it is an obstacle to peace. Israel is one of our greatest allies and closest friends; we cannot say we truly stand with them while helping prop up a corrupt organization like this. If our actions do not match our words, then our word means nothing.”

Roy pointed out that the Trump Administration cut off US funding to UNRWA in 2018 but the Biden administration reversed the decision. He accused the White House of being "reckless" in its decision to "funnel millions of dollars into this corrupt organization."

Risch, the ranking member on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, slammed UNRWA for employing people with ties to Hamas, adding that continued US funding of the organization as it now stands was “unacceptable.”

"More than 70 years [after its creation], the organization has employed individuals affiliated with Hamas, a US designated foreign terrorist organization (FTO), and its schools have been used to promote antisemitism and store Hamas weapons," he said. "It is unacceptable that US taxpayer dollars are being used to fund this agency, which is why I've introduced legislation to cease US contributions to UNRWA unless the administration can certify without a doubt that the agency has no affiliation with US designation FTOs and does not support antisemitic rhetoric."[133]

Swords of Iron

Pre operation Swords of Iron actions, reacting to the heinous Oct 7 atrocities, UNRWA teachers praised the onslaught - shortly after.[134]

U.N. Agency teachers cheered Hamas as October 7 attack unfolded, called for execution of Jews in group chat. 'More than 3,000 UNRWA teachers in Gaza belong to the social media group, which is hosted on the instant messaging platform Telegram and was exposed by the watchdog group UN Watch. The digital forum contains posts celebrating the massacre of October 7 just moments after it began.' “This is the motherlode of UNRWA teachers’ incitement to Jihadi terrorism,” said Hillel Neuer, executive director of UN Watch.[135]

UNRWA and Arab-Islamist Palestinian terror

During Swords of Iron operation, on multiple occasions were weapons found near or beneath UNRWA facilities[136][137] and even in boxes of UNRWA supply.[138]

As well as in the West Bank: 'explosive devices in UNRWA kindergarten.'[139]

UNRWA fact-checked after calling report about hostage 'unsubstantiated'. UNRWA claimed that a report that a hostage was held by a teacher in the agency's schools was "harmful and presumably gratuitous"

Exposed in Nov 2023, after testimony on UNRWA teacher holding a hostage for 50 days in harsh conditions, UNRWA tried to censor a journalist[140] and deny it. But was fact checked.[141] Journalist: "One of them testified he was held hostage and starved by an @UNRWA teacher. That’s not an ‘allegation’. That’s a survivor testimony, and more testimonies are coming."[138]

Dec 6, 2023: "The U.N. agency was created to perpetuate the conflict," MK Sharren Haskel tells E.U. lawmakers as 'Knesset’s Christian allies caucus calls to dismantle UNRWA.'[142]

Meme Sinwar - UNRWA

Then came a further revelation:

Telegram group of 3,000 UNRWA teachers in Gaza celebrates the Hamas massacre of October 7th, praises the murderers and rapists as “heroes,” and gleefully shares photos of dead or captured Israelis and urges the execution of hostages

A Telegram group of 3,000 UNRWA teachers in Gaza celebrates the Hamas massacre of October 7th, praises the murderers and rapists as “heroes,” and gleefully shares photos of dead or captured Israelis and urges the execution of hostages.[143]

January 2024: Under pressure to take action against UNRWA members involved in the Hamas Palestinian terror Oct 7 attacks on Israeli civilians, in Jan 2024 it fired some 9, announcing another one is dead. Major Western countries suspended funding for the org. Such as: the

Israeli FM Katz demanded immediate dismissal of UNRWA leadership independent inquiry into 'UNRWA-Hamas Gaza activities'.[144]

UNRWA was involved in the rerror onslaught. UNRWA school councilor abducted woman, social worker handed out ammunition. Intelligence provided by Israel to U.S. details crimes committed by at least a dozen employees of UN organization in Gaza resulting in suspension of funds.[145]

More than 30 of UNRWA’s employees actively participated in October 7 2023 attacks

Actually, more than 30 of UNRWA’s employees actively participated in October 7 attacks.[146]

Israeli intel showed 10% of UNRWA workers in Gaza have ties to terror groups.[147] It accuses 190 UN staff of being 'hardened' militants.[148]

Who will participate in the UNRWA investigations? Of all people? Israel haters will clear the name of the UN terror agency. Following the serious accusations about the participation of the organization's employees in the Hamas attack, "UNRWA Director, Philip Lazzarini, then announced two investigations: one by the United Nations Office for Internal Oversight Services, which is already underway," the German Bild wrote. In addition, "there should also be a second external investigation of UNRWA, which will be carried out by organizations announced by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres". It was noted that "Among the auditors appointed by the UN is the Norwegian Christian Michelsen Institute (CMI). The institute's website celebrates South Africa's lawsuit, and the bringing of Israel before the International Court of Justice," and from it the following were quoted: "'In order to put an end to the ongoing massacres in Gaza,' South Africa is 'allowing the moral law to question the supremacy of the West,' and to 'expose his double standards'". However, it was noted that "the massacre carried out by Hamas on October 7 does not deserve condemnation from the CMI." It was also noted that "the Danish Institute for Human Rights is also part of the external review group - and this institute also welcomes On South Africa's lawsuit against Israel: "The International Court of Justice offers a legal opportunity to act here and not just watch from the sidelines as genocide is carried out."[149]

Miloon Kothari - UNHRC

In 2022, Islamic Pakistan sponsored UNHRC inquiry targeting Israel, under Miloon Kothari and another anti-Israel bigot.[150][151]

In a July 2022 interview (with radical Anti-Israel[152][153] dreadful[154] Mondoweiss), Miloon Kothari stated that "We are very disheartened by the social media that is controlled largely by – whether it is the Jewish lobby or specific NGOs, a lot of money is being thrown into trying to discredit us..." [155]

Kothari has been accused by the United States, Czechia, Germany, France, Canada, the United Kingdom, Israel, Canada, Australia, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Austria, Hungry, Belgium, Italy[156] and the president of the UNHRC of making antisemitic remarks disputing Israel's right to exist and supporting antisemitic conspiracy theories about the "Jewish Lobby" controlling social media.[157]

But the Palestinian Authority supported , Kothari's hate, as a pattern, it chose to side with Antisemitism and hate. [156]

Defending Islam

The United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon condemned Geert Wilders's controversial film "Fitna", while stating "freedom of expression is not at stake here." [158]

The U.N.'s Human Rights Council passed a resolution that directs the body's expert on free speech to report on “individuals and news media for negative comments on Islam.” [159] This suppression of free speech at an organization purporting to fairly represent the world's nations in a common forum is one of numerous actions in the past decade that has undermined U.N. credibility.

Contemporary U.S. criticism

Some American critics view the UN as an agent for eroding the sovereignty of the United States and instead promoting forms of one-world government. Some claim that President Bill Clinton rejected and ignored the position of the United Nations when he ordered U.S. military "police actions" in foreign countries. President George W. Bush also rejected the inaction of the UN when he authorized military action against the regime of Saddam Hussein in Iraq for ignoring various UN resolutions. Some commentators now feel that it has since devolved into a radical debating society which has ironically blocked most of the goals for which it has been formed.[160] The UN has criticized the U.S. for conservative immigration policies and pro-life laws.[161] Many UN leaders once served in the Obama and Clinton administrations, allowing them to steer the UN into opposing the policies of more conservative American administrations.[162]

UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan

See also: Rape of Afghanistan
The Fall of Kabul, August 15, 2021.[163]

As of June 2021, the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (Unama) had approximately 1,164 staff in Afghanistan, 770 Afghan nationals, 298 international staff and 68 UN “volunteers.” Trapped in Afghanistan under Taliban rule, the Afghan nationals reported that there was “no leadership across the system” and that national staff “are alone and petrified.” Unama was established in 2002, a year after the 9/11 attacks, by Security Council Resolution 1401 to support the implementation of the Bonn Agreement, which provided a framework for Afghanistan until the country adopted a constitution. The agreement called for the UN “to assist in the formation of a national army and for the UN Representative to lend his Good Offices to facilitate post agreement implementation.” Afghanistan adopted its constitution in 2005 and Unama retained a sizeable presence in the country afterward. The mission’s mandate was altered to “reflect the needs of the country,” and the mandate was extended for a year on Sept. 15, 2020, by Security Council Resolution 2543.

According to PassBlue,[164] while the world was shocked by how quickly the Taliban seized power and uncertainty prevailed about how they will govern and particularly treat women and girls, UN staff said that the possibility of the Taliban gaining control had been raised by Unama employees months earlier, and that requests were made to develop plans for the evacuation of all Afghan national staff.

Biden regime chief propagandists Jen Psaki said "The Taliban has to make an assessment about what they want their role to be in the international community." Her comments came as reports flowed in of Taliban fighters going door-to-door and forcibly selecting girls as young as 12 to reward as brides for the victorious jihadis.[165] In Takhar province, the Taliban shot and killed a woman when she went out in public without a burqa.[166] CNN reported that the Taliban knocked on the door of a mother of four in a small village in northern Afghanistan demanding food. The mother told them, "I am poor, how can I cook for you?" The Taliban beat her to death.[167]

The Taliban went door-to-door taking women and children. The people must mark their house with an “X” if they have a girl over 12 years old, so that the Taliban can take them. If they find a young girl and the house was not marked they will execute the entire family. If a married woman 25 years or older was found, the Taliban promptly kill her husband, do whatever they want to her, and then sell her as a sex slave.[168] Taliban atrocities included killing kids in front of their parents.[169]

U.N. Commissions

One of the major reasons the United Nations is considered by some to be useless is the Security Council. Along with other countries elected for a term of years, the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, China, and France all have a permanent seat, along with the power to veto any decision made by the Security Council. When combined with the Security Council's role as voting on most major issues, including military intervention, and the tendency for most resolutions introduced to be vetoed by one or more nations, the Security Council and by extension the United Nations has become ineffective. The U.N. at times places member states in commissions or positions of importance which many believe they don't deserve. The following is a sample of some of those nations and the positions of importance they have been placed in (this list does not include members that are on those commissions and deserve their place).

The following programs expose the U.N.'s incompetence by placing unworthy member states in positions of importance;[170]

UN Peacekeepers Child Sexual Abuse

The United Nations since its founding has been enmeshed in various scandals.

In July 1997 the UN announced an investigation into United Nations Peacekeeping Forces in Cote d'Ivoire on charges of widespread sexual abuse with a large number of underage girls.[172] More than 300 members of UN peacekeeping missions around the world have been investigated for sexual exploitation and abuse since 2004, including some stationed in Congo, Cambodia and Haiti.[173]

Incidents

  • 1998 - Bosnia [174]
  • 2003 - Nepalese troops accused of sexual abuse while serving in DR Congo. Six are later jailed
  • 2004 - Two UN peacekeepers repatriated after being accused of abuse in Burundi
  • 2005 - UN troops accused of rape and sexual abuse in Sudan [175]
  • 2006 - UN personnel accused of rape and exploitation on missions is Haiti and Liberia
  • 2007 - UN launches probe into sexual abuse claims in Ivory Coast

LOL: Islamic oppressive republic of Iran as UNGA "VP secretary"

Bitter joke. In 2023, the oppressive Islamic Republic of Iran was named vice president of UN General Assembly.

Following Iran—a country that executes its citizens for “blasphemous” social-media posts—gaining leadership over a U.N. forum based on promoting human rights through technology, the Islamic regime in Tehran has now gained another position of influence within the international body dedicated to fostering peace: vice president of the General Assembly...[176]

Naturally, angering the international community.[177] "The criminals who trample their own people, violate UN Security Council resolutions, arm Russia with 400 UAVs to bomb Ukrainian civilians, fail to cooperate with IAEA and foment terrorism at home and abroad are unfit to serve on a committee dealing with disarmament and international security,." After the UN's failures regarding Assad, Syrians need a more forceful option to restore their dignity and rights....

Despite massive evidence of perpetrating crimes against humanity and war crimes, the Syrian regime seems to be in a state of impunity when it comes to international justice. At present, the UN peace efforts seem to be aiding Assad’s attempts to legitimize himself rather than punishing him for war crimes. The Syrian Civil Movement, a group of tens of thousands of Syrian activists and civilians who have suffered the atrocities of the ongoing dirty war in Syria, call on all those involved in finding peace for Syria to remember the truth of the war’s dynamics.

The UN efforts to resolve the Syrian crisis in Vienna currently appear to be driven by a misdiagnosis of the situation in Syria as a conflict between pro- and anti-regime groups. In fact, the conflict remains an authoritarian regime’s heinous crackdown on its own civilians with a horrifying number of human casualties, massive civilian displacement, and extensive destruction.

Jerusalem-based Sarah Muscroft to be assigned new role, spokesman says, after her statement panning rockets that 'provoke Israeli retaliation' met strong backlash from Palestinians...

Muscroft, who headed the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, said: "Relieved to see a ceasefire agreed ending hostilities impacting both Palestinians and Israeli civilians. Such indiscriminate rocket fire of Islamic Jihad provoking Israeli retaliation is condemned. The safety of all civilians is paramount — the ceasefire must be upheld." Muscroft, who had been based in East Jerusalem, came under massive criticism from pro-Palestinian activists who said she was blaming Palestinians for the latest round of violence and was failing to hold Israel responsible. The latest Gaza conflict began with several Israeli airstrikes against Islamic Jihad targets in response to what the army said was a concrete terror threat from a PIJ cell to fire anti-tank missiles across the border at Israeli troops or civilians. The strikes were followed by the firing of nearly 1000 rockets by PIJ as well as roughly 170 Israeli counterstrikes...

The incident was somewhat reminiscent of Palestinian uproar after last year’s Gaza conflict, when the then-head of the UN Palestinian refugee agency’s mission in Gaza agreed during an interview with an Israeli news channel that IDF airstrikes in Gaza were precise...

Asked by Channel 12 if he agreed with the statement, Matthias Schmale responded, "I’m not a military expert but I would not dispute that. I also have the impression that there is a huge sophistication in the way the Israeli military struck over the last 11 days."
  80. Arden: The decision to oust the UN envoy, Sarah Muscroft, because she condemned rocket fire - is a disgrace and a total surrender to the threats of the Palestinians, Rotter, Aug 14, 2022.

The true face of the UN has been exposed again and there is no limit to hypocrisy.

The UN envoy, Sara Muscroft, only tweeted praising the ceasefire and condemning the rocket fire by the Islamic Jihad terrorists. It was probably too much for her bosses at the UN and she was removed from her post. Every time I think the UN and its people have hit rock bottom, they prove that you can go lower. Shocking! This time it is a complete surrender to the threats of the Palestinians and we will fight against it.

So this morning I contacted the UN Secretary General and made it clear that we will not accept such a double standard. Just two weeks ago, one of the "judges" in the commission of inquiry against Israel on behalf of the Human Rights Council, remained in his position even after expressing himself in a biased and even anti-Semitic manner. This is a disgrace and I will work so that the UN and the Secretary General understand the meaning of this despicable step.
  81. Legal Analysis of UN Palestine Rapporteur Francesc Report to UNHRC, UN Watch, July 4, 2023.
UN Palestine rapporteur Francesca Albanese’s first report to the Human Rights Council proves exactly why she should never have been appointed to the position in the first place, as we warned the Council prior to her appointment in March 2022. Albanese is incapable of serving as a neutral and independent UN expert for anything involving the Palestinians, as UN rules require, and as she herself acknowledged prior to being picked for the job.
  82. Hamas loves UN Human Rights Council, EoZ, July 12, 2023.

On Monday, Francesca Albanese, Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territory occupied since 1967, presented her latest anti-Israel report to the UN Human Rights Council.

In the entire report, not one word was mentioned about Palestinian terror attacks. Not one word about incitement or glorification of terror in Palestinian media and schools. In fact, in a two year period when more Israeli civilians are being murdered than at any time since 2008, their deaths are utterly absent from Albanese's report.

There is not even a pretense of impartiality - no paragraph buried inside the report sayin, oh by the way, armed militias are popping up in Jenin and Nablus and Hebron, or a pro-forma declaration that Israel has the right to defend itself. Nothing,

Jews are simply not human to the UN Human Rights Council.

So naturally, Hamas has heartily endorsed this report.

    Hamas issued a press release:

We hail the speech of Francesca Albanese, the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories at the UN Human Rights Council...
  83. Calls to oust U.N. official over Australian trip sponsored by Palestinian lobby groups, UN Watch, November 22, 2023.

GENEVA, November 22, 2023 — An expensive Australian trip last week by a UN official who told Hamas they have “a right to resist” was sponsored by Palestinian lobby groups in breach of the UN’s own Code of Conduct, according to a watchdog group that today filed papers with the world body calling for her removal.

In a letter sent today by UN Watch, an independent Swiss non-governmental watchdog group that holds special consultative status with the United Nations, Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is being asked to take action to remove Francesca Albanese from her post as the UN Human Rights Council’s special rapporteur tasked with investigating “Israel’s violations.”

The full text of the letter follows below:

22 November 2023. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres The United Nations New York, NY 10027 United States.

    Dear Secretary-General Guterres,

We are deeply concerned over gross violations of UN rules and basic professional ethics by Ms. Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on Palestinian human rights. Her recent trip to Australia as Special Rapporteur was sponsored by known Palestinian lobby groups in that country: The Australian Friends of Palestine Association and Australia Palestine Advocacy Network, as well as the Free Palestine Melbourne and Palestinian Christians in Australia. As part of this trip, Ms. Albanese delivered the annual Edward Said Memorial Lecture in Adelaide and made media appearances, including an address to the National Press Club, in which she repeatedly echoed the Hamas narrative, claiming Israel’s right to self-defence was “non-existent.”

As you know, independence and impartiality are basic requirements for UNHRC Special Procedures under Article 3 of the Code of Conduct, which requires them to be “free from any kind of extraneous influence…either direct or indirect.” In addition, they may not “seek nor accept instructions” from any “non-governmental organization or pressure group whatsoever,” or accept any “favour, gift or remuneration” from any ”non-governmental source for activities carried out in pursuit of his/her mandate.”

The lobbyists’ sponsorship of Ms. Albanese’s trip constitutes a blatantly prohibited form of favour, gift or remuneration under Article 3. The financial favour further subjects Albanese to prohibited direct or indirect influence. Indeed, these groups have urged her to sue an organization that called out her pro-Hamas remarks. All of this is on top of Ms. Albanese’s disgraceful antisemitism and support for terrorism.

She has said that “America is subjugated by the Jewish Lobby.”

Last year, she told a Hamas conference, “You have a right to resist.”

Since October 7th, she has whitewashed Hamas’ atrocities. She routinely portrays Israelis as Nazis.

In light of the above gross violations of UN rules and basic ethics, we urge you to take action to remove Ms. Albanese immediately from her position as Special Rapporteur.

    Sincerely, Hillel C. Neuer,

    Executive Director.
UN Rapporteur Faces Accusations Amid Controversy, Bepi Pezzulli, TOI, blog, Nov 25, 2023.

Francesca Albanese, the “Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967” for the United Nations, finds herself at the center of a growing controversy. Her alleged violations of the UN code of conduct, combined with her outspoken positions in the Israel-Hamas conflict, have coalesced into intensified scrutiny and raised new significant questions about her suitability for the role.

Despite the expectation of impartiality for UN special rapporteurs, Albanese’s statements have consistently reflected a pro-Palestinian and anti-Israeli stance. The special rapporteur, in fact, has a history of making inflammatory remarks, such as accusing the “Jewish lobby” of controlling the United States of America, comparing Israel to the Nazis, and referring to Israel as a settler-colonial enterprise.

In 2022, a report titled “Mandate to discriminate” by UN Watch, an NGO monitoring UN activities, highlighted a significant omission in Albanese’s conflict of interest declaration signed as part of her UN application process. UN Watch alleges that she failed to disclose that her husband, Massimiliano Calì, had worked for the Ministry of Economy of the Palestinian Authority.

This week, UN Watch has brought to light further concerns about Albanese’s independence and impartiality. They claim that her recent trip to Australia, sponsored by Palestinian lobbying groups, violates Article 3 of the UN code of conduct, which mandates independent action free from external influence. The organizations involved include the Australian Friends of Palestine Association, Australia Palestine Advocacy Network, Free Palestine Melbourne, and Palestinian Christians in Australia. Albanese delivered the annual Edward Said Memorial Lecture in Adelaide on November 11, accusing Israeli leaders of genocidal intent towards Gaza. During a subsequent event at the National Press Club, she faced controversy when asked by a journalist about her accusation of Israeli “dominance” and whether the term constituted a trope. Albanese, seemingly irritated by the question, invited the journalist to read the convention on racial discrimination, claiming that Israel legally operated as an “apartheid[sic] regime.”

Hillel C. Neuer, the executive director of UN Watch, has formally requested UN Secretary-General António M. de Oliveira Guterres to remove Albanese from her role, citing the alleged violation of the UN code of conduct. Article 3, Neuer explains, specifically requires special rapporteurs to be free from any kind of extraneous influence and not seek or accept instructions from non-governmental organizations during their mandate.

Adding to the controversy, questions have been raised about Albanese’s professional qualifications. Italian journalist Antonino Monteleone has examined her claim to be a “lawyer”, after discrepancies emerged in her curriculum vitae. Despite her later admission of not being registered with the Bar Council in Italy, she referred to herself as a “lawyer” multiple times in her UN application and did not correct others addressing her as “counsel” in the course of official hearings and on TV.

In response to the challenges to her Bar credentials, Albanese defended herself on Facebook, explaining that she used the term ‘avvocato’ to style herself, translating it as ‘advocate’, and clarified her non-registration with the Bar Council. However, the incongruity in her self-designation as a “lawyer” in her UN application has drawn criticism from prominent figures, including Francesco Giubilei and Riccardo Puglisi. The latter, known for investigating false academic credentials, has called for Albanese’s removal from her post, in an op-ed on Il Riformista.

As the controversy deepens, the credibility of the United Nations in addressing human rights issues in the Middle East hangs in the balance, emphasizing the organization’s lack of impartiality when appointing officers in such critical geopolitical roles.

Talking about the anti-Semitism at Durban without reference to postcolonialist ideology is like talking about the attacks of Sept. 11 without reference to extreme Islamist ideology. The Durban conference was a watershed moment for Jews around the world, a stark reminder that the deliverance from the forces of history was not yet in the offing. The world’s oldest hatred was alive and well, not just in the remnants of an unreconstructed Eastern Europe or the aggrieved masses of the Third World, but among the cosmopolitan classes of the West. Yet few people addressed a basic question about this revival of anti-Semitism: What was the underlying ideology driving the Jew-hatred at Durban? And, 20 years later, with a resurgence of left-wing anti-Semitism in the United States and Europe, many still haven’t figured out how a variant of that same virus generates anti-Semitism today.

Lamia Burkart is a dual French-Tunisian national who lives in Germany. Lamia will be held accountable!
  101. Mike Wagenheim, UN claims antisemitic posts are due to employee account being hacked, JNS, January 5, 2024.

The world body, which has long been accused of Jew-hatred, waffled on its explanation of the situation.

In what reads like the plot of a thriller no one would write, the United Nations claims that an unknown party hacked an employee’s social-media account, posted Jew-hatred (including comparing Israelis to [supposedly] Nazis) and then evidently out of concern for the reputation of the woman that he or she had hacked, deleted the account.

Even that sequence of events took some time to get there. At first, the United Nations claimed that the account was a fake and didn’t belong to its employee in Germany, a writer and consultant named Lamia Burkart, and told a man being targeted by the account to delete his posts connecting the account to Burkart.

Khaled Hassan, a researcher on Islamist terrorism and former member of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, posted a video, including screenshots, on Jan. 5, following what he said were deceptive and inadequate responses from the United Nations.

Hassan noticed last month that Burkart posted a string of tweets comparing Israel to [supposedly] Nazi Germany and declared, “We prefer Hamas to Israel 1,000 times.” Those posts came to his attention after the account bearing Burkart’s name—the one that the United Nations first said wasn’t hers and then says was hers but was hacked—accused him of being a paid agent of Israel who supported [supposedly] “genocide” in Gaza.

Soon thereafter, as Hassan tells it in the video, he noticed that a LinkedIn account bearing Burkart’s name had viewed his profile on the professional social network. Information from his LinkedIn profile was used in a public attack on him, he said.

When Hassan contacted the United Nations about the posts, Alessandra Vellucci, director of the U.N. Information Service in Geneva, told him that Burkart did not own the X account in question and hadn’t been active on the platform for years. Vellucci further claimed that Burkart’s LinkedIn account was hacked and told Hassan to urgently delete his accusations, and thus correct the record.

Hassan replied, noting the string of coincidences that made Vellucci’s claims highly unlikely. He received no response, he said in the video.

‘The matter is being dealt with’

When the Jewish Chronicle of London sought further comment, the United Nations changed its response. It acknowledged that the offensive messages did come from Burkart’s X account but said now that her X account was also hacked. Burkart had since closed the account to prevent further use, it said.

The United Nations, which has long been accused of Jew-hatred at much higher levels than a writer and consultant, has thus far provided no evidence that Burkart’s accounts were hacked nor explanation why it changed its story.

Last week, the United Nations told JNS that Sarah Douglas, a senior official at U.N. Women, breached its code of conduct over a series of anti-Israel social-media posts and endorsements. It said the matter was “being dealt with.”

“We are aware of reports relating to a mid-level manager in personal social-media activity and its compatibility with the standards of conduct required of U.N. staff members,” Kiri Jo Ginnerup, a U.N. Women spokeswoman, later told JNS.

“U.N. Women takes these concerns seriously,” she added. “The standards of conduct are clear and breaches are dealt with appropriately and in accordance with U.N Women’s accountability and legal framework. Such processes are internal and not made public.”
  102. COGAT again slams UN for ‘stalling’ entry of aid to Gaza and ‘avoiding the facts’, TOI, 4 Jan 2024.

The Defense Ministry body responsible for Palestinian civilian affairs again accuses the United Nations of not doing enough to process humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.

“You can’t keep avoiding the facts: There is no collective punishment. 2 crossings are open. You said you can transfer 200 trucks a day in Kerem Shalom, yet you’re not scraping 100,” says COGAT in a post on X, responding to claims by Philippe Lazzarini, the commissioner-general of UNRWA, who says “the Palestinian people subjected to collective punishment with too little humanitarian aid allowed in.”

“Over the last 80 days, we’ve adjusted ourselves, all you’ve been doing is stalling,” COGAT adds.

Prior to Hamas’s shock assault on Israel on October 7 and Israel’s subsequent war with the Gaza terror group, around 500 trucks of humanitarian aid would enter Gaza on a daily basis, primarily through Israel’s Kerem Shalom crossing.

However, following the terror onslaught, Israel had permitted aid to enter Gaza only via Egypt’s Rafah Crossing after each individual truck is inspected. In a bid to facilitate an increase in the number of aid trucks that can enter Gaza each day, Israel recently also reopened Kerem Shalom Crossing for the transfer of aid.
  103. Adi Schwartz, David M. Weinberg, 10 myths about UNRWA you may have mistakenly believed - opinion, JPost, Feb 3, 2024.

UNRWA is rotten to its core. It validates and perpetuates the Palestinian war against Israel instead of helping to solve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. It is an obstacle to peace.

This week’s revelation about the complicity of personnel working for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in the Hamas October 7 attack on Israel is not surprising. Not to anybody who has tracked the nefariousness of this organization over recent decades.

Nor is it a surprise that over the past three months IDF troops have found Hamas weaponry in, and terror attack tunnels beneath, nearly every UNRWA institution in Gaza – schools, clinics, hospitals, and more.

No, there is no surprise here. UNRWA is rotten to its core. It validates and perpetuates the Palestinian war against Israel instead of helping to solve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. It is an obstacle to peace.

Despite this, Western leaders almost certainly will restore and even increase their funding of UNRWA soon enough – because they mistakenly view the organization as an irreplaceable, indispensable humanitarian tool.

Alas, nothing could be farther from the truth. Here are ten myths about UNRWA that must be busted.
  104. Richard Goldberg, "Trump should crack down on UNRWA, finally end fiction of Palestinian ‘refugees’", NYPost, December 27, 2017.

Another Viewpoint. By Dr. G. Kenneth. "Arab Argument."

One of the key Arab arguments today against Israel is their claim that the West had "given" the Jews Palestine, a so-called Arab country, by supporting the UN resolution of November 1947 to divide the country in two. This was done, they say, as a sop for their consciences over the slaughter of 6 million Jews in Europe by the Nazis, but was unfair to the Arabs, who had nothing to do with the Holocaust.

I believe the Palestinian Arabs are more culpable in the extermination of the Jews of Europe than is generally known, and that furthermore to their complicity in this crime, they inherited it as well.

    (1) In 1939, in the wake of the Munich sell-out of Czechoslovakia, the British, reneging on their solemn commitment under the League of Nations mandate for Palestine to encourage the Jewish National Home in Palestine, published a "White Paper" sharply restricting future Jewish immigration into Palestine. This was meant to appease the Arabs of Palestine, the great majority of whom were themselves immigrants or sons and grandsons of immigrants who came to partake of the newly- engendered prosperity the Jews had brought that benighted land.

While the gates were kept shut in the faces of the Jews desperately trying to save themselves from Nazi barbarism, the Palestinian Arabs' recognized leader, Haj Amin el Husseini, the Mufti of Jerusalem, was doing his part.

He spent World War II in Nazi Germany, propagandizing, raising bosnian SS divisions, and hob-nobbing.. And what did he demand, and get? That Germany "do all that is necessary to prohibit the emigration of Jews to Palestine" (letter to Heinrich Himmler). There is evidence that he even visited Auschwitz, to enjoy the sights. At the same time, innumerable non- Palestinian Arabs immigrated without hindrance to Palestine to work at the docks, oil refinery, etc. I suppose that many of them are today "Palestinian refugees." If only a small percentage of those doomed European Jews had found succor in Palestine, they would have become a majority, as the League of Nations Mandate had envisaged.

    (2) Murderous pogroms against helpless Jews were carried out during World War II in such Arab countries as Libya and Iraq. We can well ask just how it was to be a Jew in an Arab land, when we realize that more Jews from Arab lands fled to fledgling Israel than came from Europe, and. that they were more numerous than the Palestinian Arab refugees of 1948 (whose brethren consistently refused to help them financially).

    (3) Many Arabs actively supported the Nazi effort in the Middle East. A pro-Nazi coup was foiled in Iraq in 1941, and Sadat of Egypt was imprisoned as a Nazi collaborator. An extremely high percentage of Palestinian Jews joined the British army. An extremely high percentage of Palestinian Jews joined the British Army. The ironic rewards: today there are a score of independent Arab nations, with over 5 million square miles, whereas the Jews have had to fight alone for 30 continuous years to hold on to its tiny land.

    (4) The West did not give the Jews Israel. When the Arabs rejected the UN partition resolution, the Jews literally had to fight for physical survival no less than to keep their new country alive.

The titular head of the Arab world at the time, Azzam Posha, Secretary-General of the Arab League, told the press, "This will be a war of extermination and a momentous massacre which will be spoken of like the Mongol massacres";  and this, less than three years after the crematoria of Auschwitz had stopped belching their horrid smoke!

  110. Mike Wagenheim, At UN Security Council meeting, Erdan quashes Palestinian ‘right of return’, JNS, July 28, 2023.

“Let me be clear: There is no ‘right of return,’” the Israeli ambassador to the United Nations said. “You all know this.”

Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations had a blunt message for the Security Council on Thursday during its quarterly open debate on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

“Let me be clear: There is no ‘right of return.’ You all know this,” Gilad Erdan told the council, which he accused of perpetuating the Palestinian refugee issue.

“The demand of returning millions of descendants of refugees is a demand to obliterate the Jewish people’s right to self-determination,” he added. “This will never happen.”

The meeting marked the council’s 14th this year on the Israel-Palestinian file. Ordinarily, it meets monthly under this single agenda item.

Erdan blasted the United Nations and Secretary-General António Guterres, in particular, for criticism of Israeli counterterrorism operations in Jenin earlier this month. All 12 casualties were confirmed terrorists.

“The fact that the secretary-general chose to condemn Israel, a law-abiding democracy, as opposed to the bloodthirsty Palestinian terrorists seeking to murder innocent Israelis, is a disgrace,” Erdan said. “Such remarks only embolden the terrorists.”

U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres, 2023. Credit: Christophe Licoppe, Audiovisual Service, European Commission via Wikimedia Commons. Part of the international body’s critique of Israel centered on damage in what the United Nations calls a “refugee camp.” Erdan mocked that label.

“How can it be that after so many decades there are still refugee camps inside Palestinian cities?” posed Erdan. “Have you ever stopped to ask yourselves why the descendants of Palestinian refugees are still living in refugee camps? Why have they not been integrated into Palestinian society?”

“We are talking about camps in Palestinian cities,” he added.

Erdan called the scheme, which the U.N. Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) perpetuates, a “brainwashing” of “generation after generation of Palestinians.” The latter is led to believe that they might annihilate Israel by eventually making their homes in Israeli cities, rather than settling permanently in Palestinian Authority territory.

Descendants of original Palestinian Arab refugees are the only people to which the United Nations grants refugee status. It uses no such identification for second- and third-generation descendants of refugees of any other conflicts around the world.

The United States noted that while the number of Palestinian deaths in conflict this year has already surpassed 2022’s total, “the number of Israelis killed by terrorism this year is quickly approaching that of the whole of 2022.” (Washington did not appear to differentiate between Palestinian terrorist and civilian deaths.)

‘Counter all forms of violence and incitement’

Also at the meeting, Robert Wood, U.S. alternative representative for special political affairs, said that Washington expects the Palestinian Authority to clearly denounce terrorist attacks against Israelis.

“We urge all parties to take proactive measures to counter all forms of violence and incitement and to ensure accountability and justice are pursued with equal rigor in all cases of extremist violence,” Wood said.

Washington is concerned by the number of injuries and property damage in Jenin but recognizes “that Israel took steps to avoid civilian harm during its operation,” Wood said.

Wood also applauded the Israeli government’s security cabinet decision this month to consider steps to prop up the faltering P.A. and steps the P.A. has taken to try to bring Jenin—a Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad hotbed—back under control.

“We encourage Israeli and Palestinian security forces to increase their cooperation to improve the security situation,” in Judea and Samaria, “including in Jenin and other areas that have been loci of violence,” he said.

Meanwhile, Egypt requested a conference to generate fresh political and financial support for UNRWA, which is struggling financially under the weight of decreased donations, inflation and the burden of adding to its “refugee” rolls each time a Palestinian is born.

Zhang Jun, China’s ambassador to the United Nations, affirmed the “just cause” of the Palestinians, best served through the creation of an independent Palestinian state, and the lifting of the blockade on Gaza, which prevents funding, weapons and materials for terrorist activity to enter the Strip.

Separately, a senior U.N. official urged the Israeli government on Thursday to “heed the calls” of citizens protesting proposed judicial reforms and “preserve civil rights and maintain checks on power.”

Volker Türk, U.N. high commissioner for human rights, stated that he has been “following developments closely” in Israel and described the protests as an effort to “preserve the democratic space and constitutional balance so painstakingly built in Israel over many decades. It demonstrates the extent of public disquiet at the extent of fundamental legislative changes.”

Türk, who doesn’t typically express concern for the rights of Israeli citizens, also spoke out against the proposed judicial reforms in February.

At the time, he drew a rebuke from Netanyahu, who called the concern an “absurdity” and the U.N. Human Rights Council “a biased and ineffective body.”

...Speaking of UNRWA, there is an amazing phenomenon in Gaza.

    • You enter luxury homes. Luxury villas and apartments equipped with my equipment will not exist in 50 years, and yet you find use of UNRWA equipment in them. In the kitchen, bags of flour from UNRWA and in the children's room from the organization's school notebooks. It exists in every house in the Strip. In other words, *all* residents of the Gaza Strip used the organization every day, not necessarily because they had to, but because they got used to it. Getting close and relying on this organization has become a comfortable thing...
    • When you are there you suddenly realize that it is a country for all intents and purposes. with the strength and power of a country. Infrastructure, money, space. This is not a city. It's a real country of 2 million people. A country that decided to invest a lot of resources as a country in terrorism and fighting. You can see the infrastructural state power in the eyes everywhere.
    • The use of the term refugee is so cynical there. There are refugees there with luxury apartments (I saw the passports with my eyes) and understand there that this is a kind of use of a title emptied of its real content, like the title of Sir or Duke in Great Britain.
    • The citizen on the edge learned to deal with the electricity problem in the Strip. The fact that a few hours of electricity are officially provided per day is not necessarily felt by everyone. The absolute majority of houses and shops have generators, batteries or solar panels on the houses. That is, the story of putting in the gasoline that activates the generator is the critical story and therefore the insistence on it.

U.N. SCHOOL HOUSED ARAFAT'S SCHOOL FOR TERRORISTS  (The Jerusalem Post, June 24, 1982, by Yosef Goell) (excerpts)

SIDON .– what was apparently the central training school for Fatah terrorists in Lebanon was discovered several days ago by Israeli soldiers in a vocational training school run by the United Nations Relief and Work Agency. [. . .] The lower buildings were devoted exclusively to the Fatah terrorist training school. of RPG (rocket - propelled grenade) launchers and missiles, Kalashnikov assault rifles, anti-tank and anti-aircraft missile launchers, hand grenades and an assortment of other weapons and explosives. The officer in charge of de-activating the weapons and explosives said the large cache was mostly of Soviet and Eastern Bloc origin, but Chinese, Swedish, Belgian and NATO equipment and American recoilless rifles were also found. The terrorist training centre had a modern audio-visual language laboratory, in every way the equal of the Hebrew university's language laboratory. Most of the students' rooms contained eight double-decker beds and a double locker for each student.

Clothing and personal possessions had been left behind in disarray, in what was apparently a hasty flight just ahead of the Israeli forces. The lockers contained books on business English, illustrated weapons manuals in Arabic, PLO propaganda material...

.. officer in charge said that one of the rooms in the building had been fitted out for Yasser Arafat's personal use as one of his scattered headquarters.

Personal effects said to belong to the PLO chairman were on display, including his well-known Russian fur hat. In another room, a picture of Arafat on the wall was flanked by a large black swastika on a red background.

Several dozen truckloads of weapons , ammunition and explosives had already been removed from the school by the time of yesterday's visit, and there were still many to come. Other arms caches were discovered in the general area, largely in private homes.

The unofficial IDF military governor of Sidon later said that the IDF had invited UNRWA to continue its activities in all its schools. None of the UNRWA staff of the Siblin school could be found to explain the double use that had been made of their vocational - training facilities over the years.

The center featured a modern audio-visual language laboratory to help students assigned to terrorist activities to work in different parts of the world.

A captured document seemed to show that UNIFIL, the UN peacekeeping forces in southern Lebanon, provided intelligence to the PLO about coming Israeli reprisals.

Information uncovered by the IDF revealed that no student was permitted to graduate from the Siblin Center without graduating first from the Fatah course of study and serving a minimum of twelve months with the PLO. The initial coverup was undertaken by UNRWA's employees. All but 120 of the 17,000 UNRWA staff are Palestinian Arabs. As one staff member put it a few years later. "You might say we're a Palestinian agency under the UN flag."

UNRWA headquarters continued to cover up until the U.S. suspended payments in 1982 and made no new pledge for 1983.

The UN agency finally issued a report which confirmed all the charges. UNRWA's Commissioner-General Olof Rydbeck, the former Swedish ambassador at the UN, later admitted that for some time prior to the disclosure, he had not been permitted to inspect UNRWA camps in southern Lebanon without prior notice to the PLO, and then only with an escort provided by the organization...

One room in it was reserved as an office for Yasser Arafat. His portrait hung on the wall above a swastika. Teaching material was stacked in the upper storey, including, in 1982, poems praising the assassins of Anwar Sadat. The lower storey of the building was used as an arms store for Katyusha rockets, rocket propelled grenades, hand-grenades, mines, and Kalashnikov sub-machine-guns. Most of them were of Soviet make, but some were from Sweden, and there was also some NATO equipment. A lecturer from Norway visited the Siblin school inJuly 1982 and reported that 'they were filled with hand-grenades, weapons, uniforms, military manuals, PLO propaganda and posters showing [on the map] the final solution of the Palestinian problem – the abolition of Israel.'

For the most part, the education of the young was an education in active aggression. It formed fighters for the Palestinian Revolution.

This was the case even in the ordinary UNRWA school, where general school curricula were followed, but all subjects were used as vehicles of propaganda.

These actions constitute war crimes and should be condemned in no uncertain terms. In failing to do so, Mr. Gunness is ignoring Hamas’s abuse of the civilian population in Gaza and acting in opposition to UNRWA’s mandate.” Prosor also accused Gunness of displaying “an ongoing pattern of anti-Israel bias,” adding, “he has abused his position to promote incitement against Israel and present a one-sided view of reality.” Prosor said that on Monday, after Hamas fired a rocket at an electrical plant in Ashkelon cutting off power to 70,000 Gazans, “Mr. Gunness tweeted that the lights had gone out, conveniently omitting Hamas’s responsibility.”

UN Watch documents more than 100 cases of hateful social media content, calls on Western governments to review funding

More than 100 employees of the UN agency that runs schools and social services for Palestinians have posted anti-Semitic content on social media, with some openly praising Adolf Hitler, a UN Watch report released on Monday shows.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) is tasked with providing aid to Palestinians. It runs schools and a plethora of social services in the West Bank, Gaza and Arab countries neighboring Israel.

In the report, titled “Beyond the Textbooks,” UN Watch highlights 22 recent cases of UNRWA staff inciting violence and spreading anti-Semitic conspiracy theories on social media, thereby violating the agency’s supposed zero-tolerance policy.

UN Watch, an independent, Geneva-based organization, further lists 113 UNRWA educators and staff who have publicly promoted violent or hateful rhetoric in recent years.

The cases include meticulous supporting documentation and stretch back to 2015.

Though it has been made aware of these problematic instances UNRWA has repeatedly failed to act on the matter, UN Watch Director Hillel Neuer told The Media Line.

“The response from UNRWA is inaction and indifference,” he said. “Our question to UNRWA is: Where is your follow-up?

“You know that you have teachers in front of a classroom who praise Hitler,” Neuer continued. “In any other classroom around the world, when it’s exposed that a teacher on social media praised Hitler, they’re fired!”

In one particularly disturbing case documented in detail in the report, an UNRWA math teacher in Gaza named Nahed Sharawi posted a video of Hitler. Accompanying captions show Sharawi endorsing the video and stating that it was chosen to “enrich and enlighten your minds and thoughts.” Shared on Facebook in early 2018, the post has since been removed or made private.

Other educators posted anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, such as Husni Masri, who teaches in the West Bank, in an area under the Palestinian Authority’s control. Masri wrote that Jews control the world, created COVID-19 and seek to destroy Islam.

Another UNRWA math teacher, Fatima Abu Mufreh, shared a post in May 2018 where she called for armed violence against Israel: “After today, nothing should speak other than the missiles of the resistance, the rifles of its jihad warriors, and our tanned forearms,” the post read.

Ambassador to the UN Gilad Erdan was prevented from bringing picture proving antisemitic nature of UNRWA teachers into General Assembly [10] (photo credit: SPOKESMAN FOR AMBASSADOR GILAD ERDAN)

The corrupt body, whose ill-deserved status as an agency for “refugees” keeps it in financial cover, continues to employ educators who regularly incite terrorism against Jews.     Given the nature and mission of United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), it shouldn’t have come as a surprise that Israeli Ambassador to the UN Gilad Erdan was prevented on Monday from entering the General Assembly hall with a prop proving the point he intended to make at a meeting about the organization.

The item was a poster illustrating the antisemitic views of an UNRWA school teacher in Gaza by praising Adolf Hitler. Erdan had equipped himself with the placard to refute the statements he knew were going to be made by UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini.

He had good reason to want to come prepared with visual evidence. The corrupt body, whose ill-deserved status as an agency for “refugees” keeps it in financial cover, continues to employ educators who regularly incite terrorism against Jews, both in the classroom and on social media.

This was one key impetus for the decision by the administration of former US president Donald Trump in 2018 to cut America’s entire aid budget to UNRWA. In the first place, the bloated agency has spent the many decades since its inception perpetuating the “refugee crisis,” rather than using its mandate to settle the approximately 600,000 “persons whose normal place of residence was Palestine during the period 1 June 1946 to 15 May 1948, and who lost both home and means of livelihood as a result of the 1948 conflict [Israel’s War of Independence].”

Second, and even more egregiously, it has actively and passively abetted terrorism. Not only does it hire people affiliated with Hamas, but the terrorist group that rules Gaza uses UNRWA schools and other buildings as facilities for the storage of weapons.

.... Lazzarini doesn’t seem to know or care that this is the case. Instead of vowing to root out such evil, he took the opportunity of the meeting in question to say that he’s “proud of UNRWA’s education system and its resources.”

UNRWA, he stated, “uses host country curricula in line with the best practices in refugee education.”

Let that sink in. The head of UNRWA acknowledged that what he’s up to is “refugee education”: encouraging kids born and raised in Judea, Samaria and Gaza – like their parents and even many of their grandparents – to embrace their misery, not extricate themselves from it.

At least he was being honest about that. Nevertheless, he out-and-out lied when he asserted that “UNRWA has a zero-tolerance policy for hate speech, incitement, discrimination, hostility or violence.”

To soften the fabrication, he added, “I am, however, acutely aware that we are operating in a highly divided and emotionally charged environment where zero risk does not exist.”

It was a typical maneuver to make UNRWA sound measured, while excusing its Gaza staff for vile behavior. He promptly corrected the faux “balance,” however, by concluding: “Politically motivated attacks on our education system, and more broadly against the agency, are increasing in frequency and in aggression. Those behind these attacks do not have the well-being of Palestinian refugee children at heart.”

No, he wasn’t joking. He even managed to keep a straight face when he insisted that UNRWA schools teach their pupils about human rights, conflict resolution, tolerance, gender equality and democracy. Hamas and Islamic Jihad operatives must have gotten a kick out of that absurdity.

ERDAN WAS certainly not amused. When it was his turn to address the gathering, he said, “I am shocked, because I brought here with me a photo of an UNRWA teacher’s post glorifying the most horrific mass murderer in history, Adolf Hitler. Unfortunately, shockingly, I was prevented from bringing in this photo in order to share this proof with the other distinguished ambassadors here.”

Bemoaning the “very dangerous precedent” of denying his “freedom of expression” and “hiding the truth from the UN,” he let it rip.

“Hamas has built terror tunnels under UNRWA schools and stored weapons,” he said. “Textbooks used in UNRWA schools have glorified terrorists, called Jews Satan’s helpers and displayed maps that erase Israel. UNRWA is part of the problem, not the solution, and the time has come for the international community to hold it accountable.”

...he told reporters that “the UN isn’t just biased; it also shuts mouths. The UNRWA commissioner-general said here that he was proud of his teachers. I didn’t allow his lies to go without a response. I will continue fighting for our truth.”

... the placard incident came on the heels of another UNRWA attempt at stifling critics. On October 3, UN Watch director Hillel Neuer was cut off in mid-sentence while testifying on this very topic via video conference before the UN Human Rights Council.

“Madame President, is UNRWA supporting peace?” he asked rhetorically, then going on to illustrate why the answer is no.

“Let us consider UN Watch’s recent report on the teachers they hire, by looking at their social media,” he began. “Nahed Sharawi, an UNRWA math teacher in Gaza, posted a video of Adolf Hitler, along with quotes ‘to enrich and enlighten your thoughts and minds.’”

He went on: “Husni Masri, an UNRWA teacher in the West Bank, posted antisemitic conspiracy theories about how Jews control the world, created the coronavirus and seek to destroy Islam.”

Just as he was about to name a certain Esraa Abdal Raheem as a third UNRWA antisemite, UNHRC President Nazhat Shameem suddenly interrupted him.

“I ask the secretariat to pause this video,” she said sternly. “I have noticed that in the course of this video, derogatory, insulting and inflammatory remarks have been made, which in particular refer to specific individuals. This amounts to personal attacks against those individuals, and it is not acceptable in this forum. This statement is out of order, and I give the floor to the next speaker, the Palestinian Return Center, Ltd.”

You honestly cannot make this stuff up.

The libelous rant that ensued – about Palestinians “deprived of their innate human right to water, due to Israeli military blockade and constant Israeli military assaults” – was predictable. After all, members of the UNHRC include China, Pakistan and Nigeria, which are among the world’s worst violators of religious and other freedoms. Spreading disinformation is the least of their sins.

.. The trouble is, as Neuer’s tireless work reveals, that UNRWA doesn’t operate in a vacuum.

On the contrary, it’s one of many dangerous United Nations NGOs that have no legitimate cause for existing, other than to pad their own coffers. UNRWA enjoys the added benefit of perpetuating Palestinian poverty while providing cover for mass murderers bent on annihilating Israel...

  130. Itamar Eichner, Hitler wake up, you still have people to burn": the incitement in UN textbooks for Palestinians, Ynet, Mar 14, 2023.

A new study reveals that the UN aid agency, UNRWA, continues to educate Palestinian children about hatred and anti-Semitism, despite its commitments to avoid incitement. Thus, death and jihad were described in an Arabic grammar exercise as "the most important things in life", a Molotov cocktail attack on a bus was called a "barbecue party", and teachers glorified terrorists.

Teachers and schools at UNRWA, the United Nations aid agency for Palestinian refugees, routinely call for the murder of Jews, produce teaching materials that glorify terrorism, encourage jihad and suicide attacks, plot blood plots against Jews, and incite anti-Semitism. So reveals a new report presented today (Tuesday) to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and produced by the human rights organization United Nations Watch and the international research and policy institute IMPACT-se, which researches and analyzes the contents of textbooks in the world to encourage contents of peace and tolerance. The report, which will also be presented later today to the American Congress, where the House of Representatives and the Senate are debating new laws that will lead to funding cuts to UNRWA, reveals 47 cases of incitement by UNRWA's educational teams. The report describes that the teams violated the agency's stated policy of "zero tolerance for racism, discrimination or antisemitism in schools and educational materials" in classrooms, in the study materials that the agency produces independently, as well as on social networks. The study included an analysis of more than 300 pages of institutional teaching materials written by UNRA's education and teacher departments, intended for use between the years 2021-2023. The content was taken from at least five visible sources, including Facebook, Telegram, and Palestinian educational websites on the Internet, which were studied in ten Various UNRA schools.

Study materials taught to Palestinian children "Hitler wake up, there are still some people you need to burn." A post published by a UNRA teacher in Syria

The study materials bear UNRA's logo, the names of its schools, and the details of the agency's education teams that contributed to the writing of the materials. The materials were produced, among others, by UNRA school principals, deputy principals, education experts, and teachers, all of whom sign their names on The violent and anti-Semitic content. Despite this, the inflammatory materials have been distributed in classrooms among thousands of students through a variety of platforms and channels, all of which are taught in aid agency classrooms.

However, the study materials in which the incitement was identified were left out of UNRA's new online education portal, which the agency claims is the only source of the learning materials it produces, and are published after strict content checks that ensure compliance with UN values. The report also reveals 133 UNRWA educators and staff who incited violence and anti-Semitism on social media, and 82 additional teaching staff associated with over 30 UNRWA schools involved in writing, supervising, approving, printing and distributing hateful content to students. The report described that the hatred in UNRWA is systemic, and its internal control and supervision mechanisms do not exist or systematically fail. Study materials taught to Palestinian children At a UNRWA school in Gaza, the terrorist who carried out the attack on the coastal road in 1973 was praised The organizations responsible for the production of the report, IMPACT-se and UN Watch, submitted the report to US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, EU Foreign Affairs Commissioner Joseph Borrell, and German Chancellor Olaf Schulz. This is because the USA, Germany and the European Union are the three main financiers of the aid agency. The report was also submitted to UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, and UNRWA head Philippe Lazzarini.

Among the UNRWA officials who used social media for incitement purposes is Laviba Iskhandrani, an employee of the Syrian Aid Agency who shared a picture of Hitler. Iskhandrani praised Hitler and called him to "wake up because there are still some people you need to burn." Iskhandrani even "liked" For the reactions of other UNRWA employees who supported or shared the post. A teacher of UNRWA in Lebanon, Riyad Nimer, praised the commander of the Palestinian "Lion Den" organization, Ibrahim al-Nabolsi, as a "martyr" and a "noble of souls". Al-Nabolsi's squad was responsible for several attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians, including Attacking Yosef's Tomb in Nablus Nimer also encouraged others to follow in al-Nabulsi's footsteps by posting the video of his funeral procession, which called for "Peace be upon the martyrs who commanded us to follow the path they took."

    The arena in Bnei Brak

A teacher of the agency praised the terrorist. The scene of the attack in BneG Brak last year (Photo: Dana Kopel) UNRWA's math teacher in Syria, Adnan Shativi, praised the terrorist Da'a Hamaresha, who carried out the shooting attack in Bnei Brak last year. Shativi called Khamarsha a "martyr", and said that his name "may be written forever in the letters of fire, power and rehab". Kamarsha in a post on Facebook, called him "sublime" and called for "glory to his soul". Among the inciting study materials is an exercise in reading comprehension in the Arabic language, produced by UNRWA for 9th grade students at the "Al Mu'azi for boys 2" school in the Gaza Strip. The exercise included a story glorifying an attack in which a Jewish bus was set on fire with Molotov cocktails as a "barbecue party". In another text produced by UNRWA for the same school for the purpose of practicing Arabic vocabulary and grammar for 5th grade students, it was stated that death and jihad "are the most important and meaningful things in life". The report also described that the elementary school "Al-Zaytun A. Leibniz" in the mighty Gaza is also a terrorist and encouraged martyrdom. Thus, in two cases in September 2021 and March 2022, fifth graders learned to praise the terrorist Dalal Moghrabi, who carried out the "Bloody Bus" massacre on the coastal road in 1978, in which 38 Israeli citizens were killed, including 13 children.

About two years ago, UNRWA promised that all hate materials produced by it had been removed and were no longer distributed, and that any reported violation would be dealt with firmly. This was after the agency was forced to admit that its teachers had "accidentally" produced and distributed educational materials that were "inappropriate", in response to a previous Ynet publication on The studies known as IMPACT-se and UN Watch.

UNRWA pledged not to glorify the perpetrator of the attack.

The findings of the report also contradict the declarations and promises that UNRWA recently gave to its donor countries, according to which the agency uses maps that recognize the existence of Israel, that they do not study or glorify the terrorist Dalal Mughrabi, that the "neutrality officers" employed by the agency take care of preventing the indoctrination of hate, and that there are effective mechanisms for monitoring and mapping all study materials that contain problematic content.

CEO of the IMPACT-se Institute, Marcus Sheff, said: "With a budget of 1.6 billion dollars, of which almost 60% is allocated to education, and a staff of 30,000 employees, this UN agency is probably the most highly funded educational initiative in history of international aid. However, our report today shows how UNRWA has consistently breached its duty to care for the children attending its schools. In the report, we provide detailed evidence on how UNRWA creates systemic educational content for Palestinian children that praises terrorism, incites violence, plots bloodshed against Israel and spreads anti-Semitism."

The CEO of UN Watch, Hillel Neuer, said: "UNRWA should be considered a partner in the inappropriate conduct of the organization's employees. Everywhere in the world, educators who incite hatred and violence are condemned, but UNRA, despite its statement of 'zero tolerance' Incitement, tends to employ workers who preach anti-Jewish hatred and terrorism. To be clear: the problem is not the posts on social networks, but the employment of teachers who preach anti-Semitism and terrorism."

Israeli forces have located a massive stockpile of weapons near a clinic and school in the Gaza Strip, the IDF said on Wednesday, describing it as “one of the largest found” since the start of the ground invasion on Oct. 27.

The arsenal, discovered by soldiers from the 460th Brigade of the 50th Battalion during operational activity, contained “hundreds of missiles and RPG launchers of various types, dozens of anti-tank missiles, dozens of explosive charges, long-range missiles aimed at the center of the State of Israel, dozens of grenades and unmanned aerial vehicles.”

Troops confiscated or destroyed many of the weapons. Some were transferred for further investigation.

“All of the terrorist infrastructure [was] found near civilian buildings in the heart of a civilian population. This is further proof of the cynical use that the terrorist organization Hamas makes of the residents of the Gaza Strip as a human shield,” the IDF said.

Earlier this month, Israeli soldiers found missiles and military gear hidden among U.N. relief supplies in the northern Gaza Strip.

More than 100 rockets, including 30 “Grad” rockets, were found hidden among boxes belonging to the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), the IDF said.

In November, the IDF’s 401st Brigade found a large number of weapons in bedrooms and under children’s beds in a building linked to a senior Hamas operative on the outskirts of Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip.

The military also discovered four tunnel shafts in Jabalia of significant depth from which heavy mortar fire had been directed towards Israel. The shafts connected to a central tunnel located in a building linked to another senior Hamas operative.

Israeli soldiers found missiles and military gear hidden among U.N. relief supplies in the northern Gaza Strip, the Israel Defense Forces said on Saturday.

One hundred ten rockets, including 30 Grad rockets, were found hidden among boxes belonging to the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), which supports Palestinian refugees and their descendants, the IDF said.

Russian-made Grad rockets have a range of 12.5-25 miles.

The rockets were found inside a home in a densely populated area of northern Gaza.

In October, the UNRWA reported that fuel humanitarian aid was stolen from one of its compounds by men using trucks purporting to be from the Hamas-run Ministry of Health.

The discovery of the rockets raised further questions about UNRWA.

On Wednesday, one of the released hostages told Channel 13 reporter Almog Boker that he had been held captive by a UNRWA teacher. The hostage said the teacher locked him away and barely fed or cared for his medical treatment.

The UNRWA denied the accusation and asked Almog to provide further proof. Almog responded on X, formerly called Twitter, on Saturday, saying that revealing the identity of the freed hostage would endanger those still captive in Gaza.

“One of them testified he was held hostage and starved by an @UNRWA teacher. That’s not an ‘allegation’. That’s a survivor testimony, and more testimonies are coming,” Almog tweeted.

“While Hamas holds 136 Israeli hostages in Gaza, I can’t share information that could endanger them or identify the survivor. I hope UNRWA treats this more seriously than Hamas’s theft from its stocks and abuse of its civilian facilities for terror activity.”

In November, the U.K.-based Institute for Monitoring Peace and Cultural Tolerance in School Education (IMPACT-se) issued a report detailing how at least 14 UNRWA teachers celebrated Hamas’s Oct. 7 massacres of Israelis on social media. The report included links and screenshots.

The report also noted that the UNRWA curriculum helped fuel the massacre by noting that IMPACT-se was able to identify at least 118 participants in the Oct. 7 attack as former students of UNRWA schools.

The U.S. State Department allocated more than $220 million for UNRWA in June despite its schools’ curriculum glorifying violence and terrorism, as well as an agreement conditioning funding on the prevention of teaching hate and antisemitism.

In addition, many weapons and other pieces of military equipment were confiscated and destroyed, besides those found in the kindergarten.

The operation was a joint effort between IDF reservist teams, the Shin Bet, and the Border Police and was the result of a 40-hour-long counter-terrorism operation in which hundreds of buildings were searched and hundreds of suspects were questioned, leading to 11 arrests.

The remarks come amid a groundswell of reports of terror ties among UNRWA officials following the Oct. 7 Hamas massacre, including an eyewitness account that a UNRWA school teacher held one of the Israeli hostages in the basement of his Gaza home and the discovery of missiles and other weapons hidden among UNRWA relief supplies.

“The most deeply engrained institution in Gaza—that allows for the indoctrination of Gaza youth, so that some of them eventually grew up to join Hamas, becoming the terrorists who raped women, beheaded men and took babies as hostages—is an international institution, which your governments fund,” Knesset member Sharren Haskel (National Unity) said in a keynote address to lawmakers at the European Parliament in Brussels.

“An accomplice to the indoctrination of Palestinians in Gaza, which culminated in the Hamas Oct. 7 massacre—is the United Nations, and specifically UNRWA,” she continued.

In her remarks, Haskel, who co-chairs the Knesset’s Christian Allies Caucus, called for a cutoff in E.U. funding, reiterating longstanding Israeli views that UNRWA was created to perpetuate the conflict by granting Palestinians refugee status seven and a half decades after the establishment of the State of Israel although no other persons in the world would qualify under the same circumstances.

When the member of the recently established UN Human Rights Council "Commission of Inquiry," Miloon Kothari, expressed anti-Semitic hate speech and denial of Israel's right to be a UN member, 12 western democracies and the EU were quick to condemn him. Standing out in support of the hate speech was the Palestinian Authority, whose Foreign Ministry rushed to defend the Antisemitism and condemn Israel for condemning it.

“The [PA] Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the attack of incitement and deception that [Israeli] occupation state transitional Prime Minister Yair Lapid carried out against the UN Human Rights Council investigative committee.”  [WAFA, official PA news agency, Aug. 1, 2022]

The countries that condemned the anti-Semitic hate of Kothari included, the USA, the UK, Canada, France, Australia, the Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Hungry, Belgium and Italy.   Significantly, while the PA was adamant to criticize Israel’s condemnation of the Antisemitism, it was silent about all the other condemnations, not wanting to insult its donors.

Referring to that fact that Israel has predominantly ignored the openly biased agenda of the UN ...

The reason the PA was so quick to defend Kothari, is because the statements he made predominantly reflect similar statements made over the years by PA officials.

As Palestinian Media Watch has repeatedly shown, the PA constantly denies Israel’s right to exist and adopts the same anti-Semitic tropes.
