United States presidential elections

United States presidential elections began in the 1789 Presidential election with the election of George Washington. The election which occured after it happened three years later in the 1800 Presidential election. Since then they have all occured four years apart and November 4 has become the scheduled election day. The most recent presidential election happened in 2004.
