The University of Alabama is a major state university located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

It is best known for its football program, one of the most successful in the NCAA: the program has won 12 national titles in the poll-era (and claims five more in the pre poll-era). Its softball team is a powerhouse having won one national title, while its women's gymnastics teams have won six national titles.
