Urban Outfitters is a clothing store founded 1970 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by a conservative businessman named Richard Hayne and his partner, Scott Belair. It has over 200 locations in North America and Europe. It is similar to Hot Topic, Spencer Gifts, Forever 21, and H&M. However, unlike those stores, most of its locations are independent. It sells both men's and women's clothing.
