The Avro Vulcan is a high-altitude strategic bomber, which was operated by the Royal Air Force (RAF) from 1956 until 1984. It is a jet-powered, tailless, delta wing aircraft.[1]
Weapons
The Vulcan was typically armed with nuclear weapons but it was also capable of conventional bombing missions. Some Vulcans were modified to carry the Blue Steel missile, which was an air-launched, rocket-propelled, nuclear-armed missile.
