I'm liberal. That's the facts. To put it frankly; liberals want a utopia America that has no hope of existing and conservatives want to revert to an past, ideal America that never existed.

  • Abortion is only OK if the woman has had time to seriously consider her actions, consult with a professional, and contact the father. Not to mention many other current restrictions.
  • Homosexuality is not a choice. Neither is tolerance of gays; it must be so.
  • Free market economies lead to market crashes and monopolies. Take for instance the monopolies of the 1890's (which continued up until the 1929 stock market crash) and the current globalism. Not to say globalism is a terrible thing; it brings many a new and useful technologies to places it would take many more decades to reach.
  • Even though the Constitution was meant to a be a timeless thing; certain things were definitely written for the time. This includes the 2nd amendment. Now this amendment was written with the idea that citizens may have to fight the government to regain popular control (this was a huge fear at the time) and that the government could stifle the living of some by not allowing hunting weapons. Nowadays this fear is almost null and not needed. For people to claim its for protection from armed criminals; where do the criminals guns come from? They can't very well buy them and importing them is more daunting than one might think. To say that there are enough criminals breaking into homes for you to defend it with a weapon is ridiculous. To protect your house from burgleries you have to be there and most burglers are smart enough not to break in when you're there (If they do break in when you're there he probably can be dealt with without a weapon). Of course if you desire to have a sporting weapon unloaded and disassembled/locked/locked up there is no problem with it but as long as it is not within children's reach and safe from theft (locked box, well hidden
  • Ronald Reagan did not end the Cold War single handedly; in fact he escalated hostilities with increased military spending and wasted good Americans' tax money for a useless, unrealistic program for a null threat (the USSR wanted war as much as we did, so why would they start a war ?).
  • Fox News is funnier than Comedy Central
  • There is a higher power. It is fleeting and vain to think that it takes any action in our lives. So that rules out most of the worlds religions.
  • The electoral college is an outdated, elitist system that prevents the true winners from coming forth and giving too much say to states like Montana and Iowa.
  • Using British English is not anti-American...It's just how the British spell their words. Since they did technically invent the language their spelling is correct. The Americans have a history of typos (just look at the Constitution; there are tons)

If you find something terribly wrong, well, I guess we disagree.

The court jester is a whole lot funnier when he's told he's the King and knows not otherwise.
