On Blocks

"I'd like to set a precedent here: One editor does not have standing to demand the reason for a block of another editor. In legal terminology, that means you lack "standing" to assert a privilege for someone else. One reason for this is simply to conserve resources for those who are asserting their own cause, and to minimize distractions. --Aschlafly 18:35, 22 May 2007 (EDT) [[1]]

Instant Messengers

They are essential to fast and reliable information sharing, and at heading off our intentions being questioned. Both Yahoo and AOL have excellent web-based IM's, that require only a browser window with no downloading of the application! They are designed to work with all major browsers, including Fire Fox and IE. For Yahoo, check it here [2] and AOL/AIM here [3].

Welcome as a SYSOP/admin

  • TK, your entry on Fox News is magnificent and I've appreciated your other edits and comments. Welcome as a SYSOP/admin! This means you can and should block immediately, and for infinite duration, anyone who posts obscenity or vandalism or has an offensive user id. Use "Recent changes" to track new edits. We do not block based on ideology. Also, since you are in the Pacific time zone, your vigilance late at night your time would be particularly appreciated. Once again, welcome!--Aschlafly 23:44, 18 March 2007 (EDT)
