Welcome!

Hello, DavidE, and welcome to Conservapedia!

We're glad you are here to edit. We ask that you read our Editor's Guide before you edit.

At the right are some useful links for you. You can include these links on your user page by putting "{{Useful links}}" on the page. Any questions--ask!

Thanks for reading, DavidE!

A little late but ya know! :P --BethTalk 15:17, 20 June 2007 (EDT)
Thank you for the welcome. DavidE 15:22, 20 June 2007 (EDT)

Quite welcome! *grin* --BCSTalk2ME 12:01, 7 November 2007 (EST)

Thanks for your edit on David.Daniel1212 12:29, 9 April 2009 (EDT)

You're welcome, and thank you for all of the work that you've put into Conservapedia. DavidE 15:37, 9 April 2009 (EDT)

Wikipedia as a Liberal website

I've had the same problem at Wikipedia. Is it really an encyclopedia, or just a discussion board posing as one? --Ed Poor Talk 12:30, 10 May 2010 (EDT)

Good question, and I'm inclined to think the latter. Wikipedia articles all too often get hijacked by people who care more about their pet opinions than about the facts. In typical liberal fashion, they've construed "NPOV" to mean "my POV." DavidE 13:06, 12 May 2010 (EDT)

Merging the streams

Nice merge, keep up the good work! --Ed Poor Talk 12:48, 9 June 2011 (EDT)

Thanks. DavidE 12:49, 9 June 2011 (EDT)

Good golly!

I had no idea you've been here for 4 years. How could I have missed all your contributions? (Probably because I was too busy interacting with project opponents). Anyway thank you for creating Cafeteria Christianity. --Ed Poor Talk 14:38, 9 June 2011 (EDT)

You're welcome, and I'm glad you like it. DavidE 16:17, 9 June 2011 (EDT)

Oops!

Actually you did the merge ... I will now go eat my words. --Ed Poor Talk 16:40, 9 June 2011 (EDT)

Merging in your sleep

How about merging dormancy with hibernation and aestivation? The first is the main article, with the 2nd two just being seasonal ways of saying the same thing. --Ed Poor Talk 14:33, 1 September 2011 (EDT)

Done. DavidE 11:28, 2 September 2011 (EDT)

Edit to Bible in the dictionary project

Thanks for this edit; I wasn't very clear the first time, but your addition is much better than my original. Thanks! Kevin Davis Talk 12:47, 9 September 2011 (EDT)

You're quite welcome, and I'm glad you liked my edit. DavidE 06:52, 10 September 2011 (EDT)

Promotion: blocking privileges

Congratulations, David: now you can block other accounts!--Andy Schlafly 21:33, 8 November 2011 (EST)

Thank you for the trust that you have put in me. DavidE 07:24, 9 November 2011 (EST)

Username

You blocked my ip because my username was not a first name and initial. I would like to point out that it does not state anywhere that this is a requirement of signing up.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by RileyS (talk)

From the sign-up screen: " Offensive user names will result in that user name being blocked and perhaps the IP address being blocked. Frivolous user names, names of prominent living persons, and user names consisting of, for example, all capital letters or all the same character, may also result in that user name being blocked. User names based on your real name or initials are preferred. Also, do not create multiple accounts."--James Wilson 08:59, 15 November 2011 (EST)

Yes, I read this and I do not think that my username fell into any of these categories other that the extraordinarily broad, "is whatever you want it to be" category of "Frivolous user names" —The preceding unsigned comment was added by RileyS (talk)

It is a frivolous username. Conservapedia requires usernames be based on your real name. Also, sign your comments with four tildes, like this: ~~~~. Thanks.--James Wilson 09:05, 15 November 2011 (EST)
Perhaps this should be clarified in the statement, to prevent further misinterpretation of well meaning users. RileyS 09:15, 15 November 2011 (EST)

Marriage Privatization

Thanks for adding the conservative counterargument to marriage privatization. When I wrote it, I meant for it to be fair and balanced, but I couldn't find enough of a conservative argument against it. Keep up the good work. Gregkochuconn 15:11, 8 December 2011 (EST)

You're quite welcome. DavidE 18:03, 8 December 2011 (EST)

You are really unpleasant about ssm, aren't you?brenden 13:05, 10 May 2012 (EDT)

What have I said that disagrees with Biblical or conservative principles? DavidE 15:28, 10 May 2012 (EDT)
Is there any reason to believe that Biblical values should dictate the policies of 9 million people?brenden 18:52, 10 May 2012 (EDT)
This is one nation under God, and God has revealed Himself through the Bible. Your turn: Is there any reason to believe that Biblical values should be irrelevant to the way people vote? DavidE 21:25, 11 May 2012 (EDT)
