• Thanks for fixing those cites on the mutation page, I haven't had time to figure that out yet. Appreciate it!
Yes, I will work on that article. Thanks for the suggestion Geo. Crocoitetalk 02:31, 4 April 2007 (EDT)
 • Would you care to define tolerance? The red color on that link, as you may know, indicates an article which has not been written yet. --Ed Poor 13:20, 5 April 2007 (EDT)
Yes, I will start the tolerance article. Thanks for the suggestion Ed. Crocoitetalk 13:43, 5 April 2007 (EDT)
Since the article was started while I was in edit mode, I made additions to the article. Crocoitetalk 14:28, 5 April 2007 (EDT)

article citations

You're welcome! Karajou 20:33, 6 April 2007 (EDT)

Not quite

Sub-pages of your userspace are made with a "/", not a "\". Right now you're technically intruding into other userspaces. It's not urgent, but maybe ask a sysop to move the pages in question to the proper space next time you talk to one. --Sid 3050 15:08, 10 April 2007 (EDT)

Moved pages in question

New pages have the exact title name as before, the exception being the change from \ to /. Karajou 17:07, 10 April 2007 (EDT)

Template

Hey, if you're ever creating a template, to add it to the template category, add: <noinclude></noinclude>. To set templates to automatically add whatever page they're used on to a category put in: <includeonly></includeonly>. Enjoy!

Thanks for copy editing Smithsonian-Sternberg affair

Just wanted to say thanks for copy editing the contribution. HeartOfGold 13:12, 8 May 2007 (EDT)

Crazies to the left...

I restored the page. There was no copyright violation, as the article tells what the book is about. If you do use actual quotations from the book, dont forget the (Goldberg, pg. 50) at the end of the line in question. If you need a second opinion as well, Aschafly will also be glad to chip in. Karajou 18:02, 15 May 2007 (EDT)

I don't agree that there was no copyright violation because "the article tells what the book is about", but probably there was no violation since it was only a limited portion that was quoted for legitimate reasons. Er, except that I'm not sure what those reasons are. Is this meant to be an article about a book, or what? If it is, I think it's more appropriate to actually describe the book in your own words than to have virtually all of the article being the publisher's description. So copyright may not be the issue, but I think it would be better if it was not mostly a quote. Philip J. Rayment 11:02, 16 May 2007 (EDT)
P.S. And Conservapedia's desire to not have articles about every little thing makes me wonder if there is justification for articles about books at all (with a few obvious exceptions). Philip J. Rayment 11:03, 16 May 2007 (EDT)

Cube

As a mineralogist perhaps you'd like to join the debate. Gerrard 13:08, 22 May 2007 (EDT)

Gerrard, thanks for the suggestion. I'm an amateur mineralogist and that discussion is a bit over my head. I'm more interested in the actual minerals and less about crystallography. Crocoite Talk 13:30, 22 May 2007 (EDT)

Sysop

You got my vote as sysop, so I'll be nudging Andy about it over the next few weeks until it happens. Karajou 20:29, 23 May 2007 (EDT)

geology stuff

Hey, just wanted to touch base with you and let you know what I was doing. I've been categorizing most of your enteries into the Geology category. I also put the Mineral category you created as a subcategory of Geology. I think if we want to come up with any further categories to lump some of these terms in, we should keep placing them as subcategories under Geology. Chances are you will have a much better idea as to how you would want them categorized than I will, I'm just doing some grunt work. :) --Colest 09:48, 25 May 2007 (EDT)

Thanks

Thanks for all your hard work and article creations. It's been much appreciated. DanH 22:41, 25 May 2007 (EDT)

Thanks Bohdan - About 56 new pages. That might be it for today ;-) I'm leaving now to take my family to see Shrek 3. Godspeed. Crocoite Talk Support my RfA) 00:12, 26 May 2007 (EDT)
 • Thanks for reverting that Abuse attack! You have your hat in the ring for Sysop? --Sysop-TK /MyTalk 03:49, 28 May 2007 (EDT)
Yes, I do.[2] I had to even revert my pages when I got caught in the cross fire. Crocoite Talk Support my RfA) 05:13, 28 May 2007 (EDT)
 • Endorsement by me has always been a mixed blessing among the users, and now even more so being at odds with some CP procedures. But for what it might be worth, I have offered my qualified support. I just will not support promotions for people who do not have/use IM and with no email enabled through this board at a minimum. Not saying that fits you, just saying I don't know. --Sysop-TK /MyTalk 05:28, 28 May 2007 (EDT)
 • You just cannot imagine what trouble you invite by posting that here, lol. --Sysop-TK /MyTalk 05:36, 28 May 2007 (EDT)

Your template(s)

Hello DeanS.

You were the creator of the mineral template, and perhaps others also. Since late May 2007, Conservapedia requires that all templates be properly documented. Please see Creating templates for instructions on this. If the template(s) are not documented, they will be deleted. Thank you for your co-operation in this.
As this template was created before this policy was adopted, we will be flexible about enforcing this policy, but documentation is still required.

Alternatively, if a particular template is no longer required, please ask a sysop to delete it.
Philip J. Rayment 10:24, 30 May 2007 (EDT)
I will document this template later today. Crocoite Talk Support my RfA) 11:41, 30 May 2007 (EDT)
Done Crocoite Talk Support my RfA) 23:03, 30 May 2007 (EDT)
Thanks. Actually, this has highlighted a problem with the "optional" bit. Typing mineral (i.e. not supplying any parameters) is not going to work. In that sense, the parameters are not optional at all. There are three cases: (1) can be omitted, (2) can be blank, and (3) must be provided. The Name parameter of mineral is hardly optional; it must be provided. The rest can be blank, but cannot be omitted. I'll have to think about how to best document this, so don't worry about it for now. By the way, the "cat" field was for the category (if any) that the template applies to pages it is put on, which in this case is "mineral", not "template". Anyway, I've fixed that for you.
How many uses of this template have pictures? The template should be altered to just require the image name, not the entire code, but changing it now will break any that are already used.

Images

Crocoite, thanks for all your efforts. By the way, if and when you upload any images, then please make sure you protect them at the Sysop level, so that only Sysops can move or modify them. Thanks.--Aschlafly 01:16, 3 June 2007 (EDT)

G-d

Crocoite, I doubt this will happen often, but I did revert your news item about "G-d". That is standard Jewish terminology for God, and there's nothing wrong with it. It's not anti-religious in any way.--Aschlafly 00:34, 4 June 2007 (EDT)

I wasn't aware of the Jewish terminology for God, but an explanation seems like an appropriate edit for the Jewish article. Crocoite Talk 00:44, 4 June 2007 (EDT)

Vandal Question

I'm new here, and have a question. If I see a user vandalizing the place, what's the proper procedure, particularly if the vandalism is ongoing? Should I assume one of the sysops will catch it, or do I contact one of them (and if so, what is the best means when time is of the essence)? (And let me note that "JohnV" seems to be a vandal, and "MikeHunt", while he hasn't done anything yet, has an obviously inappropriate name which stopped being funny in junior high...).--Pete 11:43, 8 June 2007 (EDT)

Pete, at the bottom of the Main Page is a section titled Report vandalism or abuse. Click Conservapedia:Abuse. This is where you can report abuse of editing privileges. Please make notes short and concise. Unsigned posts will be removed. Crocoite Talk 12:12, 8 June 2007 (EDT)
