Hello, EasternOrthodox, and welcome to Conservapedia!

We're glad you are here to edit. We ask that you read our Editor's Guide before you edit.

At the right are some useful links for you. You can include these links on your user page by putting "{{Useful links}}" on the page. Any questions--ask!

Thanks for reading, EasternOrthodox!

Thanks for your edits, and thank you for carefully citing sources -- something very important for editors to do.

Another of CP's recommendations is to be concise when adding information, and some of your edits, such as on the Orthodox Church article, have not. I tried making it more concise without removing the essence of what you wrote. We also strongly discourage long quotes and prefer paraphrasing (along with shorter quotations). Thank you. --1990'sguy (talk) 21:08, 6 January 2019 (EST)

1990sguy, I think you are being overly critical. Conservapedia needs new editors and being overly critical will drive new editors away.
I reverted your reversion.Conservative (talk) 21:13, 6 January 2019 (EST)
Criticism is fine, it will not drive me away and I thank you for it. I will remember your tips next time I edit. --EasternOrthodox (talk) 21:16, 6 January 2019 (EST)
Conservative, you are being overly sensitive -- we are not going to sacrifice quality out of fear of offending someone. User:EasternOrthodox has demonstrated that he is mature and willing to learn -- excellent qualities to have. Besides, I complimented him for using sources, which I mean sincerely.
User:EasternOrthodox is completely free to go back to the Orthodox Church article and make any additional edits or re-add anything that he thinks is essential (also note that I merely trimmed his edit, and left much of it). --1990'sguy (talk) 21:31, 6 January 2019 (EST)
It looks good, thank you. --EasternOrthodox (talk) 21:33, 6 January 2019 (EST)

Eastern Orthodox music

If you do decide to an Eastern Orthodox music article, I would be most interested in reading it.

By the way, here are my favorite Eastern Orthodox songs:

I hope you create the article soon. :)Conservative (talk) 01:04, 7 January 2019 (EST)

I created a note for you at: Talk:Eastern Orthodox music. I hope my feedback helps.Conservative (talk) 03:32, 7 January 2019 (EST)

Friendly note

Hello Eastern Orthodox, I appreciate your edits -- they seem high quality and are sourced. I want to let you know, however, that it is CP policy not to treat evolution (or biblical creation) as undisputed fact. Thus, when dealing with topic pertaining to that, I strongly recommend using wording such as "according to...," "[evolutionists/creationists/whomever] argue that...", etc. Our reasoning is that there are thousands of sites which treat evolutionary dates as undisputed fact, while the views of scientists who believe in a young Earth (and I personally know a number of them) are ignored/mischaracterized/etc. We might have at least one online wiki which fairly discusses both views (and editors here hold to both views). Regretfully, I had to revert this edit because I thought it only presented the old Earth view (specifically, the earlier dates, before ~3000) without any qualification. I am open to re-adding it if my concerns are met. Thanks for your edits, and thanks for your understanding. --1990'sguy (talk) 10:32, 22 January 2019 (EST)
