Dear editor: you have placed three links to a website which appears marginal as an authoritive source. All links are placed in what appears to be fairly contemporary and controversial topics. The website appears to serve basically two purposes, (a) promote Ron Paul for President, and (b) trash Fred Thompson.

Here specifically is the problem: while trashing Thompson & promoting Paul, the site attempts to align Ron Paul with Ronald Reagan. [1][2] Now, while I can appreciate these lame partisan efforts in a poltical season, please be advised there are many of us who recall that Paul, while a Republican in 1984, bolted the Republican Party to run against the Republican Party elected incumbant, Pres. Ronald Reagan.

In sum, I am not certain whether you are aware of these basics facts of history, but you need to be, before proceeding. Further, these lame POV tactics are much in the vein of well known subversive activities groups, and personally there are very insulting to older readers who are aprised of the facts, making us feel that we are just too stupid to notice. So, please remove the links, and stop this nonsense.

Thank you, kindest regards, and if you are indeed a young person and not a subversive activist, don't let this message in anyway discourage you. Thanks again, and God bless. Rob Smith 18:25, 15 October 2007 (EDT)

I am sorry, but I have reverted the articles where you included the controversial website. It was unclear how much direct relevance there was to the articles in question. While it is evident you have strong political views, I'm not sure it is appropriate for this setting. Perhaps you would like to help to update the article on Ron Paul? Even if you can't directly edit it, you can add your comments and sources on the talk page. Learn together 20:56, 15 October 2007 (EDT)

Ron Paul

My apologies. You are correct. Ron Paul ran for President on the Libertarian Party in 1988, not 1984. Ron Paul bolted the Republican Party shortly before Ronald Reagan's 8 years expired to join the Libertarian Party, according to Congressopedia [3], as a "lifetime member" shortly before the 1988 elections.

It appears Ron Paul did not wait for the "twelve years of neglect" as Bill Clinton observed, but was one of the first to abandoned the GOP after only seven or seven and half years of neglect.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention, and again, my apologies. Rob Smith 23:53, 16 October 2007 (EDT)

Paul, again

Well, this discussion, and ensuing events, did not take very long at all. Where do you suppose stories like this are being generated from? [4]
