Compulsory Education in Germany
I'm afraid your tiny correction is wrong: The compulsory education in Germany takes ten years (Hauptschule, Realschule). Pupils may go on for two or three years (Gymnasium) - according to the Land they live in (and as always, it's a little bit more complicated ) --DiEb 16:07, 14 August 2008 (EDT)
- Actually, in most Bundesländer the compulsory education is nine years, which you would have upon passing the Hauptschule. Or by dropping out earlier of the other two school types, but then you might not get any finishing certificate, depending on the Land. ~ Tolkiendil 16:18, 14 August 2008 (EDT)
If you have actually read the book, you'll note that the Riders of Rohan did recognize Eowyn but were careful not to embarrass her by addressing her directly.
- Well, I just thought it would better fit in its subcategory, even if it has been influenced a lot by other languages. After all, English is still counted as a Germanic language, even after its Romance makeover in the Middle Ages.
- And I know a lot more than Tolkien, and have a fine memory to boot. I could just as well do edits about culture, archaeology, biology, or other sciences. It was just my reason to register, as I cannot stand wrong info being spread, and the disorganized state and errors in the Tolkien stuff was just too much to resist. In this case I restrict myself to guarding the Tolkien stuff. But sometimes that dislike of disorder and wrong info spills over and I edit other articles too. ~ Tolkiendil 15:10, 3 December 2008 (EST)
Thank you for helping me revert JBagnor's edits. Do you think we got them all?-AlexanderM 19:39, 8 December 2008 (EST)
