The Valve Corporation is an American video game developer which is based in Bellevue, Washington. They were founded in 1996, and were made famous in 1998, by their first product Half-Life. They primarily produce violent first-person shooter games, such as Half-Life 2, and the extremely popular Counter-Strike.
