A war game is a high-level simulation of a possible armed conflict. More broadly, it is a metaphor for simulating a political, legal, or other conflict that does not necessarily involve force of arms. As such it is a valuable tool in strategic and operational planning, whether for an army (or navy), a company, or a political movement.
