William Johnson (December 27, 1771 - August 4, 1834) was an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. He was the "Court's first great dissenter,"[1] writing almost half the dissents filed during his tenure of three decades on the Court.[2]
Johnson also authored a book about general Nathanael Greene.
