Wilt "The Stilt" Chamberlain was a professional basketball player most known for scoring 100 points in a game. That mark remains to be most ever scored in a single NBA game.[1] During his career he was a poor free throw shooter, though interestingly in his 100 point game he made 28 of 32 attempts (87.5%) from the free throw line.
Never married and with no children (one woman later claimed paternity for her child, but never submitted DNA for testing), Wilt was known for supposedly having relations with over 20,000 women (the number is believed to be highly exaggerated, though, based on flimsy evidence even by his admission). However, later in life he publicly regretted his lifestyle, warning others not to follow suit.[2]
Though he regularly got along with teammates, he was in a public feud with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as Kareem accused him of being a "traitor to the black race" (Wilt was a Republican and supported Richard Nixon).
