Wolfhart Pannenberg (2 October 1928 – 4 September 2014) was a German theologian. After the Second World War, he studied Theology at the University of Berlin, and also studied at the University of Gottingen and the University of Basel. At Basel, he studied under Karl Barth. His works include a book he edited called "Revelation as History" (1968) and "Revelation and the Idea of God" (2001).
