Wycliffe Bible Translators are a nonprofit organization with the aim of translating the Bible in to every living language in the world, especially for cultures with little existing Christian influence.

History & development

Wycliffe was founded in 1942 by William Cameron Townsend. There are currently branches in over 52 countries. The organization takes its name from John Wycliffe, the man responsible for the first complete English translation of the whole Bible into Middle English.
