The Yen (en symbol "¥") is the currency of Japan. It is divided into 100 sen.

The exchange rate for Japanese Yen is typically over 100 Yen to the US Dollar, and most items cost several thousand Yen. Quantities of yen are often counted in multiples of 10,000 (the "man"). The Yen banknotes begin at ¥1000 and go to ¥10000 in general circulation.
