Women's Bible Society of New York

The Women's Bible Society of New York was founded in 1816 amid increased immigration after the War of 1812, and is one of oldest Christian groups in continuous existence in the United States. It developed the concept of Bible Readers to reach out to the poor. It incorporated as a legal entity in 1877.

Today it focuses on events, grants, and scholarships for camps.
