The '''Boston Patriots''' is the former name of the now [[New England Patriots]]. In 1971 the team changed its name from the Boston Patriots to the New England Patriots to better reflect its representation of the entire [[New England]] region. The team was first formed in 1960 by [[Boston]] businessman Billy Sullivan Jr. From 1963 to 1969, the Boston Patriots home stadium was [[Fenway Park]]. In their last year as the Boston Patriots, 1970, they played at [[Harvard]] Stadium in [[Cambridge]], [[Massachusetts]].
